Re: How busy is the first week of november?

birnbaum rates tht week at one of the least crowded. therefore, the crowds(lines) should not be too bad. the parks hours will probably be shortened. epcot will be the same as always: future world opens at 9 while world showcase opens at 11 and closing is 9 or after illuminations. be sure to plan on seeing Taperisty of Nations and illuminations. both are great. Magic Kingdom will have shortened hours for sure. if you are staying on-property you may want to take advantage of early entry to magic kingdom(all parks except animal kingdom has ee days) and check into e-nights at mk. however, as young as the boys are e-nights might be a bit too much unless they are night people. fireworks will be week-ends, but be sure to check the scedule at the official disney site www.disney.go.com do you have a guidebook? i would recommend either of birnbaums books: the official guide to wdw or wdw w/ kids. be sure to check the passporter guide when it hits the bookstores. if you don't want to buy the guidebook(birnbaums) go to the library and check it out. hoope this helps.

You are in luck! You should have a wonderful time at this time of year! It is not too crowded or too hot, the parks close a little earlier, so your kids won't get too cranky from the really long days, and there is historically hardly any rain.

Have a great trip!

Re: How busy is the first week of november?

Just remember that this is not a normal year. Disney is pushing the Millennium Celebration awfully hard, just the way they did for the 25th anniversary of the park. There is a large jump in attendance when they are promoting something like this, so the crowds all year are going to be a bit larger than usual.

That said, early November is still a great time to go because crowds will still be smaller than at most other times this year and as Cruella said, the weather is still pretty nice and warm with less rain.

Re: How busy is the first week of november?

I agree with Cruella & Kag. In addition to what they stated, when our family arrived in WDW the last week of October 99, it was more crowded than previous Oct's. During the 1st week of Nov., we noticed that all of the parks were much less crowded than the week before . The weather might have kept some locals away, as the temperature dropped to 45 degrees F - pack those sweatshirts
