Re: kids stops at epcot

As of yesterday, they are doing masks. At any one of the countries you can pick up a paper mask on a stick. Then you can add decorations to your masks at each country. Japan had origami animals to glue on, USA had yarn and beads, Norway had rune letters, Italy had feathers, Canada had maple leafs, and so on. Our 2 year old thought this was the best thing! You ought to see his mask...it's a true work of art!

Also, in addition to the masks, the individuals working at the stands will sign your autograph book in their native language. This is really neat within the Millenium Village. Many of the countries representatives are only too happy to discuss their homeland with visitors.

Re: kids stops at epcot

We just returned from Disney and our kids 6 & 9 loved the kid stops, the masks were neat but they especially enjoyed getting their passports stamped and receiving a message in the native language - even the girl's names! They really enjoyed learning more about the homeland of the people at each stop - it was educational FUN! Be sure to get the passports before you start around the World showcase, we did & it went smooth, but we met a family who had already done each county when they discovered the passport in Canada & were attempting to gather them all before close, this was at 7:45 pm! Enjoy!

Re: kids stops at epcot

I talked to my younger son's teacher last night about his being out of school for 7 days for our trip. Fortunately, he is also a Disney Maniac like us! He said no extra work for the vacation but he would like Goofy (ds) to visit every country in WS. I was thrilled to hear this since it's one of my fav things to do at WDW! I figured the passports were a good way to do this!
