| Another stroller question... After pulling out my 3 strollers, I'm still not entirely sure which to bring on our trip. I have a jogging stroller which would be great at the parks, but it is still huge when folded, so it would be a nightmare on the buses. My umbrella stroller would be very easy on the bus but has no cargo area and the canopy basically sits on my DDs head . I have a Evenflo Comfortfold that is one of the convertible strollers that an infant seat can snap onto. (Not that I use that baby seat anymore, DD is almost 4!) It is the perfect size for DD, has a great canopy, cup holders and a huge cargo backet. It would be perfect for the parks! It does lock easily when folded, unlike my jogging stroller. So....I guess my question is about the buses. I've never taken Disney buses because we've always stayed offsite. Do you just fold up the stroller and take it on the bus with you? They don't store them underneath? I've read other posts that seem to hint that you may not get on the bus if it's really busy and you have a stroller? Do they really tell you that you can't get on? That doesn't really seem likely. If it's folded up it could slide between the rows of seats and my DD could easily sit in the seat behind it. If they have a problem with it, my only other choice, as I see it, would be to rent once I get there. I'm trying to save $$$$ wherever possible so that would be very annoying since I have this great stroller at home! Help! I know a lot of you use strollers....have you had problems? |

| Re: Another stroller question... I've taken both a stroller similar to an umbrella stroller and I have also taken my Graco...the kind that holds the infant car seat. I have never had anyone tell me I couldn't board a bus with it. You bring it on and fit it where you can. Sometimes you might find if you are one of the last to board you might want to wait for the next bus instead of trying to get on a full bus with a stroller. Believe me, you won't be the only one trying to maneuver a stoller on to the bus. Have fun! |

| Re: Another stroller question... I have never been turned down with the stroller. I always bring my Graco (that the infant seat snapped into) and its perfect. I think it might be a little cumbersome, but worth it with all the storage and comfort. Good luck! |

| Re: Another stroller question... Thanks for the info! That makes me feel alot better. I would not be happy with the umbrella stroller and definitely don't want to rent. Guess I'll take my Evenflo! I can cram all the extra stuff I buy with the rental $$ in the huge cargo backet! |

| Re: Another stroller question... Another side note...if you're staying on property you can have your purchases sent back to your hotel so you won't have to cram them into the bottom of your stroller and lug them onto the bus. You can just pick them up the next day at the resort gift shop. |

| Re: Another stroller question... They don't store the strollers under the bus, so you have to fold it and take it on the bus with you. Problem is at times when the busses are busy they fill every square inch of the bus with people standing, once the seats are full they continue to pile people (adults AND children) standing. So imagine trying to carry your stroller down an airplane aisle while people are in the seats. That is the downside. I understand why they do it for the most part our transportation experiences have been really efficient. But having a big bulky stroller in these situations can be exhausting. |

[/ QUOTE ] I have, a few times, seen a bus driver open the back door for somebody to board who has a bulky stroller so they won't have to carry it past everybody on the bus. However, this was during the middle of the day when the buses were not crowded. You would also have to get a considerate bus driver. Of course this may be against the rules now. If you decide to take the larger stroller, just be prepared to squeeze it into a tight spot when you board the bus. Or as someone else mentioned, you might want to wait for the next bus rather than try to cram it onboard. The newer buses have extra space at the front, since the first few rows of seats now face the aisle. But the older buses are crowded all the way back. |

[/ QUOTE ] Whenever we have asked nicely we have never had a problem getting the bus drivers to open the rear door so that my DH can easily board with the stroller. We've done this with both our single stroller and our double and it is much easier on DH and all the other passengers as well. We've also done it at all times of the day including park closing, etc. DDs and I always board at the front though with everyone else. |

| Re: Another stroller question... I've had issues trying to decide on this as well. I'll be going with an almost 4 year old and an almost 2 year old. The younger one will definately need a stroller the whole time, and the older one will walk at times, but will need one too. I decided (after seeing the cost of rentals) to go ahead and purchase two umbrella strollers that do have a cargo bag on the bottom, a nice shade canopy and they also fold up real small and have a strap to help carry them over the shoulder. They also recline!!!! That is the one we purchased. at 40 bucks, it is cheaper than renting one for $8 a day for 6 days and it's mine to keep and I'll have them at the airport too, if needed (which, knowing my kids, it will be). |
