I'm hoping that with DH wearing a "It's the Big One - 50!" button, and me a "It's the Big One - 40!" button, we might get a dream.
If not, I'm still happy that I'll be at WDW. What's better than that?

Dreams are awarded randomly, however, you can get awarded more than once. That happened to my daughter. She got one dream awarded at Toontown (she was Toontown's *first*) while meeting the princesses, then she got another one at the Animal Kingdom and was chosen to open the Pocahontas show. The CM told her she would be the 'star' of the show. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

The Cast Members of the parks, resorts and shops have little no-cost or low-cost things they can do to make a little magic. (I saw a young boy get picked as the Pop Star of the Day at Pop Century one afternoon.) Those are ones you might get because someone sees your pin and wants to spread a little pixie dust.

The prizes that have a monetary value are randomized and are awarded to people for being in the pre-determined "right place at the right time."

You will see Dream Team CMs walking around. (They have on blue shirts with the Disney Parks logos and black satchels.) I chatted with many of them and made sure to mention all of our various celebrations during our recent Grand Gathering. Except for lovely discussions, I was never given anything. &lt;&lt;shrug&gt;&gt;

The Year of a million dreams prizes are awarded randomly, however, if you spread a little Disney Magic to other guests while at the Parks, you may be selected by a cast member to receive a Pixie Dust Pin pack and you are invited to keep one pin and give away the other to someone. My friend who just got back said that one day they were approaching one of the walk through attractions at AK. A CM stopped them and asked them to wait for more people to come. My friend thought, oh great, a tour through the gorillas. When the CM was satisfied at the # of people, she congratulated them and gave them each a special lanyard with really cool pins!!

She also said that at one point on their trip they were given a FP, good at any ride, all day long.

Those are the moments that make trips memorable!!!

DH and DS went on Soarin' and after everyone was seated the CMs passed out Dream Fastpasses for Epcot for that day. It had a tab for each ride that gives out Fastpasses (Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Maelstrom, etc.). The tab is taken off when you get through the Fast Pass line.
