Keys to the Kingdom Tour I have just booked the Keys to the Kingdom Tour for September. My question is they told me that you cannot bring any camera or video equipment on the tour. I was able to bring my camera when I went on the Hidden Treasures tour at Epcot. Why can't you on this tour? Is it just too easy to be able to photo things that you shouldn't? Also any other information regarding the tour would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour Hi Mary. I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour when I was there in December and they are correct. You can't take any video or camera equipment with you on the tour. Not only that you can't take any larger bags. My waist pack was fine to take, but I couldn't take my backpack with me. I had to check it at guest services where they locked it up in the back and I picked it up later. I think it has to do with being backstage for so much of the tour. Which was fine with me, less for me to have to carry. You're going to love the tour. It was a lot of fun and I found it quite informative. You don't lose any of the magic by being backstage, it only enhances it. There are some things you will never look at the same again, but in a good way.

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour Thanks for asking this question! We are leaving in...10 days and have also booked that tour. I hope to enjoy it...I'm really concerned about "wasting" half a day on a tour when I could be enjoying the magic .

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour There's a lot of things that you will see on the tour that Disney doesn't want photographed as it might destroy the magic for little ones and even some older ones. What, you might ask? Well, the tunnels for one thing: it wouldn't be very good to photograph the character zoo where they have all the character heads sitting on pikes so CMs can grab them quickly. (that has to be the single creepiest memory I have from Disney--disembodied Mickeys and Goofys ) Or photograph the garbage trucks. Or Snow and Cindy taking a cigarette break together. And on the rides that you will see, it might be a security risk to photograph the backstage. So, take the memories in your mind, and enjoy resting the shutterbug instint. And have fun--the tunnels are fascinating!
