World Showcase Themed Tour of the World

My DH Mike has always planned to do a chocolate tour of the world around the showcase - which means he eats some chocolate at each country. I have also read about a 'fried dough products' tour of the world

Personally I don't want to feel sick by the time I get to Mexico! LOL

Does anyone else have any ideas on a tour. I would like to collect some similar item at each country for scrapbooking purposes.

I'd love to hear your ideas.

I know some people like to drink around the world

You could get one of the Passports in the World Showcase and have the CMs fill in something in their native language in the book (they fill them out at the Kidcot stations). Would be nice for scrapbooking!

I got a passport and had all the CM at the kidcot stations write happy birthday in their language in it for my 40th birthday. That is something I will always have that is pretty cool. If your doing scrapbooking why don't you get stationary or stickers or something like that that you could use in your scrapbook. Or take a picture of yourself in front of all the bldgs in every country.

We did the drink around the world theme, but didn't make it all the way. I think we gave out about China (starting at Canada)

I once tried visiting all the shops around World Showcase, although more for window shopping than buying, otherwise we'd have been bankrupt!

On our last trip, I took a picture of my kids in each country and then found some great country related stickers to put with the photos for the scrapbook.

We also took pictures around the world with our son and my nephew. We were able to find "themed" hats for most countries in the gift shops (sombreros, straw rice paddy hats, viking helmets etc. ) These made especially cute pictures and I used them in my scrapbook too!!!

I love the 'hat' idea! Take a great photo (or three) in each country with a native hat! How fun! I think I'll do that in November.

Drink around the world sounds like fun!!! Definately an adult only night though!! When my mom and I went, I took tons of pics in each country...mainly the architecture, but then pics of us too with things int he backround, the totem poles in Canada, the viking ship in Norway, etc..... I am putting together a scrapbook, each 2 page layout is a country.
