MK or Epcot

First & last. LOL We are going to be there for 4 days. I've heard people say go to MK last because you can't top it. Then I've heard others say go to it first. I want to do either MK or Epcot first or last. Which would you do first?

why not get park hopper passes so you can go to each park more than once and really take advantage of EMH...We always go to MK first

That's tough. Up until this last trip, I was set on MK first and last. To me, it was the only way to start a WDW trip.

While in the really long bus line for MK at Pop our first morning, we noticed the Epcot line was non existant. After much deliberation, we jumped over there and did Epcot first. It was my first WDW trip that did not feature Cinderella Castle first.

I would happily do it again. To me, WDW IS MK and Epcot. We did hop to MK later in the day to balance it out, but going to Epcot first was a nice change...a nice surprise.

I wanted to go to MK first because I love the sheer magic of it for young kids--what a way to start the trip! Unfortunately, that's not going to work out in my case because some of my family group won't get there until the day after we do, and they want to do MK all together. We've decided to do Epcot the first day and start with the attractions the kids will enjoy the most (Nemo, Imagination, etc), so that they still get the magical start-off.

If it was my choice, I'd probably do MK first, especially if you have children under 10 or so. However, either choice actually will be a good one!

I really am not certain if it really matters. Usually we do MK first, but sometimes do Epcot. Never started with MGM or AK, but I wouldn't be opposed to AK, but not MGM.

For us and with it being the 1st trip for our kids, we did MK first. Abby could not wait to see the castle (neither could we!)

Last trip we started with MK and ended with AK...but then I got dissappointed so we jumped on the bus and finished the day at MK...

In my opinion I have to see the castle one last time before I go....to finish anywhere else just does not end the vacation the right way for me.

This year I plan to start and end...we have park hoppers so we will spend our first day at AK and then go to MK for the parade (EMH) and our last day we will do Epcot and finish off at MK for fireworks....

I am not sure about where to start. I just know I love Epcot!!!! Yep it is our favorite park. MK is a close second.

Depends... what day will you have more time? Epcot, to me, takes way longer to view than MK...

that being said, I always like to start my trip at MK... but honestly, any and every park is just as good to me. It's Disney, that's all I care about when I'm down there

We always try and finish with our favourite park - and in our case, that's Epcot. I agree with what others have said, if you have park hoppers, you don't just have to spend a day in each - you can divide your time with maybe a day and early afternoon at one and then coming back another day for the evening. Personally we never go to the Magic Kingdom first - we always head for the Animal Kingdom, as we find it an easier park to enjoy on our first day.

If there are kids in your party, I'd do the parks in the following order: Epcot, MGM, AK, and leave MK for last...because if you do MK first, the others can be a bit of a letdown for little ones.

We followed the logic of doing Epcot first on DS's first trip (he was 4), because we heard that Epcot might be a big let down once he experienced the MK. The big surprise.....he LOVED Epcot. For the last trip, we did Epcot first, because we love it and it was on a day that Tourguide Mike recommended it.
