Block Party Bash at Hollywood Studios - WDW

It looks like this is a very unique 'parade'. Because of its unique nature - does anyone have a favorite place or recommended spot for viewing?

Well, this isn't necessarily a favorite viewing area but actually where we "ended up" LOL We had been elsewhere in the morning but wanted to return to DHS in time for the 3pm parade. It took us a while to get there so once we finally arrived and saw that the crowds were starting to line up, DH suggested that we just stay right at the beginning of Hollywood Blvd. For some reason I thought that the parade would be coming out from the other end of the park as it used to with Stars and Motor Cars. However, we could see the tippy-tops of the Toy Story Floats backstage.

As the parade begin we were able to see all the floats go by us (I believe the order we saw it was: Toy Story, Monsters Inc and then A Bugs Life) and the final float, A Bug's Life, parked a bit up the street, with the area directly in front of us being the performing area - pretty cool! Flik, Princess Atta and another of the female insects whose name escapes me LOL danced around, as well as a bunch of the parade performers who pulled some kids out of the crowd at different times. The Green Army Man/Sgt was our Emcee.

It's a very entertaining and highly energetic parade. One of the CMs suggested that it's a parade worth seeing at least 3 different times from 3 different viewing spots in order to see all it has to offer.

The park map at Disneyland's California Adventure had markings of where the stops are, plus there were signs showing the stops. I checked Disney's site for the Studios and their map doesn't list the stops yet. Anyone have a park map since the BPB was added?

I did search around and found this anecdotal comment:
"One on Hollywood Boulevard (from Mickey;s of Hollywood to the tip board or so) and then along Echo Lake from ABC Theater to Backlot Express" (Found here: Studios Central :: View topic - Block Party Bash - post by QuickGold close to the bottom )

Can anyone confirm?
Eileen

PS - Val, was the other insect the gypsy moth "Gypsy?" (That's who we saw with the Bug's Life characters at DCA. I remember Dot being there as well.)

I have not seen the Disneyworld version, but have seen the Disneyland version many times. It is not a traditional parade and you almost have to choose which part you want to see. Figure out which pixar movie is your favorite and ask the parade attendant where that float will be. You can still see the other floats coming and going, but they all stop in designated areas for the bulk of the show.

For all I know the Disney World version is completly different but none of my family really liked the "parade" and after the first time we saw it we never bothered to stake out spots. We would just walk up at the last minute and watch some float we hadn't seen.
