1st day park ?

We have 4 days @ Disney. We arrive at the airport @ noon, I'm thinking that we won't get to a park before 3PM. Since we have 1 day for each park I'm not sure which one to go to on the first day. Hours for November are not out yet. Our party is two adults and two 13 year old boys. I just wanted to get ideas for that time on a Sunday November 9th.
Thanks,
Rob

I would say probably MK or DHS because they tend to be open later so you'll have more time there. Or else wait for the EMH to come out and pick whichever park has them that night.

I would suggest HS for the 1st day. There are fewer, more spaced out attractions, so you can accomplish a lot in 1/2 day.

I would save MK for last, otherwise the other parks will seem like a disappointment. None of the other parks really have as much magic from a kid's point of view. Disney Hollywood Studios might be the best place to start because there aren't many attractions and it is open fairly late. EMH are a good idea for after all the other parks close too.

I would say DHS, it's the smallest park and easy to get around.

I'd go for AK. You can do that park in a half day

I'm arriving at 11am, and expect it to be in a park around 2pm if not later on our first day; I plan on doing Animal Kingdom for a couple of reasons, one being that I want to get to bed at a reasonable time the first night to be ready for our first full day but I still want to go to a park and since AK closes at 8pm , I know I will be abe to get some stuff in and still get to bed on time. Also, I've heard/read that AK gets slow towards the evening because there is no night time show wich means I'm hoping not to be faced with massive crowds. What ever you choose to do, Im sure you will have a great trip!

We are also going to WDW for 4 night stay in August. We also will arrive around noon. We are starting at MK because until we see main street it just doesnt seem like Disney. But we have park hoppers so we plan on seeing some of Mk that night, then doing the other parks and end right before we leave for Vero beach with one last trip into MK. For me the magic begins and ends in MK. Perhaps because I went to WDW in the 70's when MK was it. Have a great time whatever you do!!

As a rule of thumb going by October's hours, (since Nov is not out yet) I would bet on EMH happening on the Sunday you arrive at the DHS park. I would go there too. The park would be easier to manage on a 1/2 day trip without tiring you or the children out too much. Make tenetive plans to go there and then wait for Nov. hours to come out to confirm that. That is just MHO though. Best of Luck

Obviously, if there are evening Extra Magic Hours at one park that day, I'd head for that one. Failing that, I'd go for either the Studios or Animal Kingdom, as they have less to do than the other two parks.

I'd probably head to the park with EMH that evening. Have fun!

We are also going and planning 1 full day for each park. Originally, I had thought to try and do DHS or AK on our arrival day in order to give us a free day but have now decided against that. We are going to MK b/c I think we will need more than 1 day there. Even though we will not be there at RD, I figured the kids will enjoy the sites and anything we get done is just one less thing to do on our full day. This will also allow us to take in the sites, so when we get there at RD, we can hit the rides immediately.

Thanks for all the great advice!!! I do have park hoppers so that helps. The boys are looking forward to DHS the most because of TOT and Rock n roller coaster, but I still think that might be the best option 1st. We can always go back on our last day if we have time to finish on those rides.
Thanks again
Rob
