| We never noticed the ladies of the evening. My kids wouldn't know what they were either. My DD who's almost 5 loved it.

| I was at "Fantasmic" in March, and there was a family behind me with 3 small children. They actually were so offended by the "evil" presented by the characters that they not only left, but I saw them still complaining to a poor CM after the show about "Insufficient Evil Content Warnings!". I have truly never felt that anything Disney offers promoted evil, but obviously it depends upon your sensitivity to topics and the way they are presented. With Enchanted, to us it spoke about respecting what was inside of each of us, as that is what defines who we truly are. My children also thought it was "cool" that someone would see that being unkind and mean was not so great, and change at the end Of course, I also never noticed anything in all of the movies that seem to find themselves in conversation, ie-Lion King racial stereotypes and hidden messages in clouds, Alladin tiger saying questionable things, etc...If you go looking for something ugly in something, you will find it, even if it is in your feelings...

| We just seen /rented the movie for the first time last night and I actually thought it was fine and I am VERY particular about what my kids watch. We don't have cable and I view ALL movies myself before allowing them to see them. I do think there is a few subtle things in this particular movie I could do with out , but I still allowed them to watch it. I tried to have a rule of only G rated movies but unfortunately , theres hardly anything G rated anymore, so I just have to be VERY careful.

![]() Maybe next time they'll do a little research to see if the show is too intense for their kids. Just 'cause it's "Disney" doesn't mean it's all "sweetness and light." Eileen

| We went to the actual movies to see it when it first came out with our preschooler, she loved it and it was in her Easter basket, or shortly there after, I can't recall right at the moment. We thought it was a fantastic movie for the whole family. There was things that a young child would like and parts that adults would get a chuckle at that would go over the heads of children. My preschooler likes to break out into the song, "How do you knowwwwwwwwww he loves herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, how do you knowwwwwwwwwwww he carrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeessss" Hilarious! ![]()

| Disney movies do tend to have a dark scene or two. Once I lent my friends Lilo and Stitch to watch with their 5 year old son and they called me the next day to yell at me for lending them a "horror movie." I guess the scene where Lilo is taken from her sister's care was harrowing for their son. Me and my DD's arent very sensitive to that type of things so I never thought about it. My neighbor who is also a disney freak thinks there is a lot of dead parents in Disney films. She would definitely agree with Eileen that just because it's Disney we shouldn't assume it's "Sweetness and light."

| I sure think that Disney has sometimes turned to the dark side. But I had the choice to watch or not. And I watched. I remember Phoebe's mother on the show Friends. Whenever something bad was about to happen in a movie the mom would just turn the movie off and say that was the end!!! For years Phoebe thought Old Yeller had a happy ending. Then she actually watched the whole movie without her mother being there to stop it. A major shock.

| I forgot to mention in my one post. Our one priest actually thought this was a great family movie and raved about it. He had seen it the first weekend it was released. My guess is, he didn't see the seedier side either. My daughter is on the Giselle kick this week and I bet the twins and I have watched almost every evening!

| I would recommend watching it first and maybe skipping the scenes that would seem "too much" for your kids. We watched it and liked it (I did not notice the hookers? I must have missed that!) However, my kids do not know what hookers are - maybe I don't either???

| The concept of the movie is wonderful. I personally thought eh it was ok, my DD enjoyed it, my DS did not. We did however, want to sing our way out of the theater and for the rest of the day.

| Well I guess I'm going to have to watch the movie again. I think I missed this and I feel horrible. I purchased this as a birthday gift for a little girl. I didn't notice hookers in the first few minutes. I will have to make a few phone calls about this one and apologize.
