We got the books from the library and they are just called Disney fairies - there is a series of them...11 or so. We read them to our DD5 and we enjoyed them as much as she did. I think for a child to read on their own they would need to be maybe 9 or 10 or so...??

I have read the two "big" books and several of the small ones. I would say the small one are more for 4th and 5th graders, but a good read just the same. The big books are geard more toward adults to read to kids over time. The art work in the big books is beautiful! I don't like that the "original" Faries aren't going to be in the movie either. If they weren't going to put them in the movie, then why make them such a big part of the books? Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me...
