![]() We went in 2006 when my DS was only 7mos. we'd pack him up in the sling and he'd either sleep or people watch, I personally think it's a great age to take them because they are just so totable(sp?) and the baby care facilities they have are great and air conditioned so it's nice to get a break from the heat and if you have older kids there is a little play area too. You'll have a great time Good luck with your planning. | |

| We took out DD when she was 2 mos old. I kept her in a "front pack" and took advantage of all shade. We even went to Blizard Beach. The characters LOVED her (Tigger kept stealing her sock). My other DD was 2 1/2 and I do not think she minded having her new sister there at all. Although this was almost 13 years ago so my memory might be slipping, I do not have any negative stories to share about the experience. |

| The only problem I saw when I brought my infants was the loud noises in most of the attractions. The 2nd time I got smart and brought a small pair of ear muffs and that did the trick.

| I started taking my son when he was about 3 months old. You can go on anything w/out a height restriction. I usually held him in a front carrier on the rides. I enjoyed the times I spent with him there when he was so little, and I never encountered any problems at all, even though it was just he and I, my husband never came along (we went while he was at work). Edited to add: I would recommend getting one of those fold-up changing pad things that holds a few diapers and a small container of wipes... then you can just grab that for diaper changes instead of lugging in the whole diaper bag. I LOVED mine when DS was a baby.

| My DD's are now 18, 13, 10, and 7. I took DD13 when she was 4mos old. Around same for the last two. Never had a problem. I even nursed on a lot of rides! I never had problems with noise, but then I had other kids so noise was a constant for all of them after the first one. I never dealt with formula, but now that they have those little packets of dry, you should be fine. The baby care centers had anything you could possibly need if you forget anything.

| My cousin's baby was 6 months old when they went last year and she said it was great! He was at a great age for it! I am going this October and my DS will be 9m. He already loves to people watch! We actually were in Orlando last week and did P&PP...he was so good!!! He's only 4 m now!

| Best of all at this age they don't whinge for ice-cream or toys! We took DS at 7mths (in 2006) and he was fine. Lots of rides we all did together, others I stayed with bub whilst DH and older kids rode. meeting the characters took on a whole new meaning as the look of wonder on his face was priceless. Characters at the meals tried to feed him and we got lots of interesting photos. Including a beautiful one of Princess Aurora kissing him on the cheek - he stuck out his tongue - cheeky! Having a stroller after years without was a great bonus and so easy on my back. Nursing was easy too. Lots of attractions have ample time for a feed - IASW, TTA, Ellen's Energy Adventure, American Adventure etc. My DS was alert enough to giggle and babble through Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh and the POTC. The only ride I was worried on was Peter Pan - I just don't think there was enough security by me holding him. We also did Typhoon Lagoon and I spent the day taking pics of the others as the slides do not have a height requirement but you must be able to swim competently and unfortunately when asked my baby didn't answer correctly - LOL! We still had a great day with fun in the lazy river, wave pool and Catchakiddee play area. The parents rooms are well appointed and thankfully airconditioned but at times it was just too much bother to go to one - we just changed DS in the stroller and fed him wherever I sat out of the way. At restaurants we asked for booths if they had then so I could feed discreetly in the corner. Take a stroller you are comfortable folding and stowing on the railroad and trams. Preferably one that has good storage and a cup holder or two. (I'll miss having a stroller soon) You will probably overpack baby items for the park (most of us do) but I drew a line and last visit only took nappies, wipes, spare onesie, jacket and a spoon - besides the jacket (we put all the jackets in the stroller basket) all of this fitted into my fanny pack. Be sure to take lots of pictures, especially of child's face when they see characters, parades and fireworks - some of these are our most treasured shots. Have fun!

| Well, I've taken mine at a bit older - 11 months and my middle son went at 14 months. But, I can tell you the 11 month old - it was super easy. He slept in the stroller or in the sling. He fell asleep nursing on most of the rides. Everytime I got on a ride - I used that opportunity to nurse - lol. If it was loud I covered his ears. If it was too much visual - then I pulled the sling up over him head. I would say the year that it was just me and my husband and my 11 month old - that was the easiest trip of all - lol. I have a 7 month old now - and she'd be pretty sweet to take to Disney at this point!!! You will have a great time - enjoy it!!

| We just went last year. SD 12, DD 5, DD2 and DD 4 weeks. And of course DH 41 at the time......My youngest was the easiest to handle! She got on all the rides we wanted to with the family. For example. The Great Movie Ride...Disney Hollywood Studios, Pirates of the Carribean....Magic Kingdom, Carosel of Progress....Magic Kingdom (AIRCONDITIONING!) and the Transit Authority...MK, I also got her on Buzz Lightyear...MK. The Safari Ride...AK (was a little bumpy so I held her close). The best thing about it all, everyone at Disney were so wonderful about it! They were attentive to her and I. I just recently visited a park near my home town. They were having a cow about me taking my grandson on a choo choo ride, HELLO, it is a train with no requirements. SO I applaud DISNEY!

| We have done the parks when kids were between 6 and 8 mo. (see pic!) twice. It was surprisingly easy. It's fun to watch them clap their cubby hands and squeal with delight at the things that delight them. Also, be sure to check out the baby care centers--they're awesome!

| I'd just like to second the thanks for the good advice and stories! ![]() I'll be at WDW for MouseFest with my newborn (read: between 6-10 weeks old depending on when he makes his entrance . . . I am due October 12th.) and am starting to think about how to travel with a baby as I have only ever gone with DD who is now 7 and took her first trip at 2 1/2. I'm sure I will have lots of help from PassPorter friends who will be there at the same time but it is definitely nice to hear others' experiences.
