wwyd-trip plans

We are traveling in Oct. w/ 4yr old and 18mos. old. We have a 5 day park hopper.

Here is my tenative schedule with my question to follow:
Nothing is set except some ADR's but I'm thinking of maybe switching days/times?....

EMH-AM hours for MK are on the 16th (Thurs.) and the MNSSHP are that evening
EMH-pm for E are on the 17th and MK is open until 11

13th Monday- 2nd travel day, arrive lunchtime, naps/swim, then Whispering Canyon for dinner at 6:25, maybe ride monorail, then to bed early!

14th Tues.- MK day, 1900 Park Fare dinner, Wishes at 8

15th Wed.- DS day, Dinner at 50's prime time, maybe EMH-pm at AK after dinner

16th Thurs- Epcot, 11:20 Askershus lunch

17th Friday- Animal Kingdom, 6:15 dinner at Boma's

18th Sat.- MK day, 4:15 Liberty Tree dinner, 8-Parade, 9-Wishes? park open until 11

I think we will see everything at Epcot that we will want to with little ones in 1/2 day and go walk World Showcase another evening/morning somtime when the mood strikes but not critical we find the time.

So how would you plan Thurs/Fri/Sat. MK is open till 11 on Fri./Sat. (not that we'd stay that late but we would have some extra time if naps go long toward the end of our week. If we definately see Wishes on Tuesday then I would really like to plan to see the evening parade at some point so I think Sat. at MK could take care of that.

I ultimately need some time at AK and Epcot and would like to figure at least several more hours at MK (to have at least 2 1/2 days at MK)
Would you take advantage of EMH-AM at MK on the 16th since we are not going to MNSSHP or avoid the park altogether? if yes then I need to maybe go there in the morning on the 16th and then do AK that evening and see if I can switch Boma's ressie. Then Friday am finish AK and do Epcot for EMH-pm?

Put yourself in my shoes and tell me what to do!!! ---I know, just what you need to do----plan your trip and someone elses too! I've been looking at this too much and need second, third and fourth opinions!! Tell me also if I'm missing something.

I'm not nearly as seasoned a traveler as others, but the one thought I have is.............Yes, I would go to the EMH morning on MK the day of the party that you are not attending! We went to MK on the morning of a party and the crowds were very low. When there is a special event / party like that going on , the morning / day is lower crowds, so take advantage of it!

makes sense--so far we aren't taking advantage of the EMH. I'll be curious to see what others have to say too.

I agree that it's a good idea to take advantage of EMHs. (Although not everyone feels this way, we have really enjoyed them!) I also love Spectromagic, so your plan of going to see it on Saturday sounds good. It's a "must-do" for me!

Have you checked the best/worst days at TouringPlans.com? I find that very helpful. (Just know that "worst" parks generally include EMH parks, so you might want to be at a different park during non-EMH.)

I think it's always a good thing to make plans, and then stay flexible. If things don't work out quite how you thought, you can always adjust your itinerary when you're there.

Have a wonderful time!

I would also take advantage of that morning EMH for the Magic Kingdom.
