| Beginning in January 2009 Fantasmic will only be shown twice a week. According to TouringPlans.com - Plans which save you time and effort this is because of the new atraction "American Idol". They want to attract more people to the nightly finale of this new atraction. What is your take on this? Do you think that Fantasmic and the new American Idol Experience can be compared? I think that this is going to change the plans of everyone planning to visit the parks in 2009. I really prefer watching Mickey figthing the forces of eveil than watching guests singing. They should have schedule the American Idol finel one hour before Fantasmic. Or am i wrong?

| I think they might also be "testing" the popularity of the Idol show. We may very well see many changes to the schedules as Disney tests and retests and see what works and what guests complain about. Eileen

| I can't imagine AI will be as popular as Fantasmic. The show's ratings have been going down some over the past couple of years. It seems to me Disney is cutting back on things involving characters. There's a ton in Fantasmic, and they've been cutting out lots of character meals lately too. Makes me wonder with the economy if it isn't a way of cutting costs. |

| Interesting reason for scaling back Fantasmic! showings - I hadn't heard that before.

| Doesn't really bother me, although I feel bad for the many people who love F that will now have a hard time seeing it. Probably because you wouldn't find me at either AIE or F anyways. Don't care enough about AI to bother with a Disney version of it and F just didn't do it for me when I saw it in December. |

| Yep, thats going to be the problem for the people that loved Fantasmic. I have already changed the schedule for our February trip in order to be able to see Fantasmic.
