| another EMH question On the Wed of our trip AK has extra evening hours and Thursday has extra AM hours at MK. There is no way we would be able to stay late at AK AND then get up and do extra morning hours at MK. Which would you take advantage of? We are going in October. Just wondering which would be more beneficial if you had to choose. I think I would either need to plan for a good longer break/nap so my 4 year old would be good to go until 9 or so OR I need to get them to be early WEd. evening to get them moving in the morning on the Thurs. |

| Myself, I would probably do both, but I am a daredevil like that. To choose one, I would go with the AM EMH at MK. ![]()

| Esp. with little ones, I agree. Even when AK has PM EMH, many attractions still close early.

| A lot of the trails and many of the attractions are closed for AK's evening EMH. Unless you want to "pound" Everest and other thrill rides, I'd opt for the Magic Kingdom's morning EMH. One little caveat -- will you really get to the morning EMH 5 minutes before it starts or will you mosey in sometime between 8AM and 9AM? The key to getting a good morning EMH result is by arriving right as it starts, moving quickly to the rides you have already researched as being open for your EMH and "knocking them out" within that important first hour. Then you can settle back and enjoy the park, knowing that you already accomplished alot. ![]() Eileen

| o.k. great! Now I won't have to re-arrange my whole schedule for Wed. I'm glad you said MK morning hours! If I'm going to plan to utilize EMH then I plan on being there 30 min. early! We are use to being up, dressed and at the sitters by 8:30 so I think we can handle moving it up 1/2 hour. If the hours state it's open at 9 does that mean EMH start at 8? |

| I don't know that you have to "be there" 30 minutes early, but getting to the MK can easily take 30 minutes, whether you're going by bus or rental car. If you can have that cushion, it would be good. I try to be through the turnstiles about 5-10 minutes before 8AM. Eileen

| I vote MK, most definitely. Our past 3 trips, we never spent more than one day at AK, in fact, we usually found ourselves bored and leaving early. I just don't think there's enough there to spend evening EMH at AK. Definitely do morning EMH at MK, you'll be able to knock off all the popular rides first thing, and then double up on all your favorites after lunch, or even go back to your resort for a nap/swim break. MK for sure.
