Typhoon Lagoon OR Blizzard Beach?

So... quick question for you all...

We have a day on our upcoming trip that I have set aside for basically whatever we feel like.

We will be visiting every park at least once by the end of our 5 day adventure, but in case we decide to hit a water park instead of a theme park on our "free" day... which is a better choice? We wouldn't be into the slides and thrills as much as the raft rides and lazy rivers! lol!

They seem very similar with similar rides and slides... is one clearly better than the other? Is there a price difference? We dont have the water park and more option on our tickets now-- would it be cheaper to upgrade to this at our hotels front desk then to pay OOP for tickets?

We may not go to either... just wondering!

I haven't been to either one, so I don't have any suggestions. Although, I do really like the idea of swimming with the fish at Typhool Lagoon! (the snorkeling) But, I will add in that the water park and more option is only of $$value if you are going to use atlease two of the options. If your only using one, its cheaper to pay OOP.
Have a great trip!

hmmm

Im not sure about pricing. But I do know that we enjoyed our day at Typhoon Lagoon far more than the one at Blizzard beach.. i cant think why. maybe the themeing is more up our alley. We usually need a DOWN day in the midst of our trip. We just have an "un plan" That includes sleeping in, lesiurely meals and enjoying the resort we stay at. saves money for sure!

I would have to say that Typhoon is our favorite. Blizzard Beach is nice & does have the family ride. It has a lot of slides. I love the water coaster at TL & for some reason that I can't put my finger on I love the lazy river ride at TL I could ride around on the raft all day.

We choose TL for our first time at a WDW water park. Actually, this was my kids first time ever at a water park. We really enjoyed it and my DS loved, loved, loved the wave pool. We had a great time and I loved the feel. With that being said, we are going to try out BB next time.

I don't believe there's a difference in pricing.: It's $40 for an adult and $34 for ages 3-9.

We've enjoyed both, but prefer TL for the monster wave pool!

I'm the different one. We've done BB twice and did TL this past trip. I did not enjoy TL, and was wishing that we had gone to BB.

The family raft ride at BB is one of our favorites and the same ride at TL was, to quote my kids, "lame!"

I've never been to Typhoon Lagoon, but I've been to Blizzard Beach 3 times.
I enjoyed it a lot.
Hugeeee lazy river.
But remember!
PUT ON SUNSCREEN!
I was so stupid and didn't put any on my shoulders, and they got burnt HORRIBLY!
I was on Accutane too and that didn't help either!

Definitely TL. I like the lazy river better there, and my son loves the part where you snorkel with the fish. BB is also fun, but I think the slides are a little more on the thrill side and less on the family side. In general, I like the theming better at TL too. Both parks are alot of fun though, and usually when we go only one is open, so you may not get a choice, depending on when you go.

We're not really into slides either and we preferred the theming of Typhoon Lagoon, so that would get my vote.

DH and I also prefer Typhoon Lagoon. We also do not do all the big slides, etc. We do enjoy the lazy river and the wave pool. However, my main reason for liking Typhoon Lagoon better (this actually may sound kind of silly) is that my eyes are extremely sensitive to sun. All the white (snow!) at Blizzard Beach was hard on my eyes even with sunglasses on!
