| parade options Anyone have advice on the afternoon parades at MK, DS and AK. I would love to take advantage of doing rides while most are at the parade but I don't want to miss out on anything either. If you had a choice would you definately do one, none or all of them? We are definately planning on seeing the evening parade at MK but didn't know what others are a must see. Are they a "you've seen one you've seen them all" (don't mean to downplay a parade because I'm always up for watching a parade....just want to use our time wisely!)

| My personal favorite is the afternoon parade at AK...but maybe that's because it slightly reminds me of the ToN (or ToD, depending on what year you saw it) in Epcot. Besides the characters they have wonderful puppets (that are HUGE!)

| That is a neat parade. I haven't seen either afternoon parade at Mk and DHS. We loved the old Stars and Motorcars parade and are really looking forward to Blockparty Bash. Our trip coming up is the longest we've ever done, so we plan on seeing all parades, day and night.

| I would skip the MK parade. I don't think it's anything special. BPB looks cool at DHS but we never got there. The same for the AK parade, which was on my list (again) but I think the rain cancelled it most of last week

| The best use for your time is what makes you happiest. Since you're paying for the parades as well as the rides, "getting the most" out of a ticket should really be about doing the things you will enjoy most, rather than counting how many attractions you experienced. If parades aren't important to you, then don't worry about missing them. Each of those parades are different, so if you love parades, it's hard to tell you what to do and what to skip. What I wouldn't do is spend a lot of time sitting on a curb waiting for a parade. There are always less crowded areas along the parade route. I might choose to be on an attraction (or in a restaurant) near the viewing spot you've selected until just before parade time.

| parade options AK - FABULOUS!!!!!!! MK - you HAVE to see this...CLASSIC Disney!!!! DHS - LOVED the old 'Stars & Motorcars' Parade ---- and JUST "caught" the 'ending' of this new one 2 weeks ago....characters that I saw WERE great, tho' & LOTS of interactions w/ the kids, too... really.....I tell my friends.....TRY not to miss ANY.....they're ALL unique!!!!! - but, I agree, don't sit & wait FOREVER....'schedule' your last ride/attraction/show 'nearby' & then just SCOOT-ON-OVER-FOR-VIEWING!!!! (but, remember.....It's not ALL about the rides, Folks! - THEMEING!!!!!) |
