Block Party - Best Place to Watch

Can anyone recommend the best place to watch BP? We're wanting to video tape it and would like a spot near where they stop. Thanks!

We watched it a couple of times and enjoyed standing to the side of the hat, next to the ABC Theater. This is the BPB's second stop. The first stop is at the end of Hollywood Blvd around Sunset Blvd. We found that spot to be very congested. I think the second stop would be better for video taping too as you'll have more space. We really enjoyed it - a lot of fun!

Me and DD stood right behind the boat snack shop and she got to play with the parachute and hula hoop. Then the Monsters Inc float stopped right in front of us and she got to dance with Sulley and Boo. She loved it and it was a lot of fun. I think it was the second stop.

This is where we stood too and it was a great spot. We had lots of space and the kids really got to interact with the characters.

I'd also suggest finding out where the float you're most interested in seeing will be located on the stop - as in, "if the Toy Story float stops at this point, then sitting back here will let me see the action of the Bug's Life float."

Hope you enjoy it, Yvonne!

During the first performance stop, the Monsters Inc float stops on Hollywood Blvd at the path where the Hollywood and Vine restaurant is. That's the middle float of the three, so that will put you smack dab in the middle of the action.

This is an AWESOME parade! I stood at the corner nearest the entrance gate at Hollywood Boulevard, on the side of the rest rooms. Just don't get stuck behind the tape for the walkway. This was a great place for viewing and it was also great for catching the balls that pop out of the floats. The float I saw the most had gymnasts jumping on trampolines, but I could see others jumping also. WOW!!!

HAVE FUN!!!

Ok Folks! These are all great suggestions. If you want to view the parade and not tape it, my favorite spot is at the Hat. This way you get to see parts of the front of the parade and also, the bugs life part of the parade during the second stop. I'm quite partial to the spot by Indiana Jones and Sounds Dangerous because that's where I work and I am on Parade duty a lot!

There are three big floats in BPB: Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and Bugs Life. I suggest (as others have) finding out which one you want to see more and then asking a CM where that float will stop. Make sure you get there early though, it does get crowded!

Hope to see you on the parade route!

We went to this parade in DLR and, not knowing anything about it, we ended up in a spot that was without characters when the stopped. We were a bit disappointed. So, be sure to find out where the characters will be when the parade stops so you or your kids can have that great interaction with characters. We missed that.
