Soarin' fastpass

Are there ever any fastpasses available for Soarin' in the late afternoon or early evening? We'll be there in two weeks and we have a late afternoon/evening planned for Epcot. Is a fastpass hopeless? (cause we're not standing in line for an hour.) I've heard that they are gone by early afternoon on most days.

The last time we were there we went right to the fast pass line when we got in the park not long after opening. Our return time wasn't until 1. I think when we got out the fast passes were already for the late evening. You might get lucky and someone might be giving fast passes away because they wont make their times or something (it happened to us the time before but they didn't have enough for all of us). Good luck because Soarin' is a really neat ride.

In the extremely "low crowd" season, FP will still be available in the early afternoon -- maybe even the late afternoon.

In a busier season, they'll be gone late morning or even fairly early morning in the busiest seasons.

I think you will probably be out of luck. Is that the only time you are going to Epcot? Most people easily spend 1.5 days or more there. If time provides, you might want to plan a morning there one day.

Don't think you'll have much luck with that. As mentioned, Epcot is pretty big, and if you have the time, try to sched. another morning to get the attractions that you may not have been able to go on, like Sorin, Test Track, and possibly Mission to Mars if those interest you.

I'm with the others. I don't think you'll have much luck, unless you're going at an exceptionally quiet time of the year.

I just returned from there and the FP will be all gone by early afternoon. I never did ride as I never got to Epcot for at opening or before 1pm. Anyway the FP were gone by the time I got there and the standby was never less than 60 minutes. So I bypassed it. I leave again in 5 days and will catch it on this trip

I don't think there is much of a change of getting a FP. However, if the ride is still open while everyone is waiting for Illuminations then the standby line will be short.

Yep, pretty much not going to be available. We go at all times of the year, and the latest I've ever seen Soarin FPs available is about 3, and that was a REALLY slow time.

I also think you'll find that the line is still long during Illuminations. People are already in line, and even though others aren't entering the line, some of my longest waits have been at that time of night.

I have been lucky getting FPs that people have given out though. And in February, we headed over to EPCOT about 7 oclock on a Sat. As we exited the bus, my mom said "Hmm, think we can get on Soarin?" I laughed and said we'd have to miss her favorite this trip. Just then, I looked down and saw two FPs laying on the ground! So we were able to ride after all.

Hint, even if it's past the "window" they will usually still allow you to ride.

When we were there in Feb of 2008, they were gone by the afternoon, but we LOVE that ride so much we decided to get in line. It wasn't so bad for us. When we went they had the interactive games while you stand in line that were fun. Each section was a team and you work together to beat the other teams. My kids had a blast and forgot they were even standing in line. Just a thought.

Maybe the time of year would be better than when we went last year in June. It seemed to sell out within the first hour.

Good Luck!!

I think it depends what day you'll be there. We were at DW 2 weeks ago (May 17-24, now known as Monsoon Week) and we spent the evening of the 17th (a Sunday) at Epcot. We arrived at the park a little before 5:00 and figured there would be no FP's available for Soarin' so we grabbed some for Test Track on our way in and then did a few other things. When we walked into The Land at 6:00 ish there were still FP's for Soarin'. Our return time was 8:10. FWIW, Sunday evening was listed as a good night to visit Epcot by the crowd caledar websites. It really was empty -- we walked on most rides in FW. Even Test Track only had a 20 minute standby time. The Soarin' standy line was 45 minutes when we picked up our FP's at 6:00.

However, we were also at Epcot on Tuesday that week and we picked up FP's for Soarin around 11:00 and our return time wasn't until 6:00. They were out of FP's by 1:00 that day.

We were also at Epcot that Friday evening and when we arrived around 5:00, FP's for Soarin were gone.
