| Please tell me about evening EMH at AK ! We've never been to evening EMH at AK, but since we are going in August / Sept., we want to avoid doing things right in the middle of the day when it is hottest. We are already planning on going to morning EMH there to get on the safari early I know I can get a list of attractions that are open in the evening EMH, but would love to know what everyone thinks about evening EMH at AK! Is it worth going? What do you like about it? Or not? Thanks, Carole

| We loved it when we did it last August. The park was practically empty. We had a Passporter meet in front of EE, and RobDVC's kids must have gone on EE at least 6 or 7 times while we were standing there! My only disappointment is that there was no Nemo show!

| We always arive on a wed in sept and thats AK EEMH. We go there our first day and the park is almost empty. The kids can pretty much stay on triceratops spin and ride over and over without getting off. We really enjoy the park in the evening with little crowds. |

| It's definitely worth going. The last time we went, it wasn't a quiet time of the year and the park was deserted - we were honestly the only people walking into the park, everyone else was leaving!

| At this time of year, it can be worth going. AK is a very DARK park once the sun goes down. There is very little outdoor lighting, and when we were there a few years ago in July, EMH was from 8-11. By 10pm I thought our party was going to get lost going from Dinoland back to Expedition Everest. It was PITCH black! AK also has some of the most limited attractions at their evening EMH. The trails and Safari are all closed, so as I recall the only activities are: EE Dinosaur Primeval Whirl Triceratops Spin (Dumbo with dinos) Kali River Rapids One Showing of the Lion King Now I have to say that I've seen Lion King at evening EMH nearly every time we've gone and have truly enjoyed those shows. It seems like the performers are a little more ad-lib in that show, and it makes it even better. So enjoy your trip! But having a few extra necklace glowsticks or small flashlights isn't a bad idea, especially if your little ones get afraid in the dark.

| I am so glad to see these responses. For our next trip, I was thinking about booking Boma and then driving to AK for Evening EMH, but was worried about the crowds. Thanks for asking this question!

| Evening EMHs are my favorite at the AK. There is something really beautiful about this park at night and I think it is because it is something you can't see everyday. The Tree of Life and EE are stunning at night. Also, as the sun starts to set and the animals bed down for the night, both those in the exibits and those that are wild/native that make their home there, the park is filled with the last calls and cries for the day and it is amazing to hear. We don't really care about the attractions that are open or the size of the crowds. It is seeing this amazing park in a different light that holds the appeal for us. If you are a fan of the AK for its theme and details, an evening EMH is not to be missed.

I'm glad to hear that! We are wanting to use the evening EMH too. We don't usually do the evening ones. | |

| Thanks for posting this question. I am still curious if it will even be dark when we go though. We will be there Sept 19-26 and AK EMH is 25th and the park closes at 5 so EMH will only be until 8. I really want to ride EE at night.

| Thanks to the poster who asked the question. The latest I've ever stayed at AK was 4pm. For our upcoming August trip, one of the nights will have EMH in the evening, and I'm definitely going to plan on going.
