| Flag Family at MK.... I would love to try to get Michael to be a part of the flag lowering ceremony at MK when we are there in a couple of weeks. Do we need to be the first ones at City Hall to request this? What's the best thing for us to do? If anyone has any advice, I'll take it!!

| We're interested also. I believe you do have to be the first at City Hall. My Dh is going back to Iraq for tour #2 in the Spring. That's why I want to do it. I guess a LOT of veterans ask so it will pay to be early!

| just to clarify, it's same day only (unless it's changed again). as of the last change, City Hall no longer is technically in charge of selecting the participant -- that honor belongs to Main Street Ops who actually runs the ceremony. They occasionally like to randomly choose an eligible participant in the park. That said, you can go to City Hall as early as possible that day and ask the GR if they know if Main Street Ops has chosen someone yet and if not, if XXX can do it.

| i don't have a specific date. it's been same day for nearly a year if not more. it used to be several months in advance, then a week in advance, and then the procedure changed entirely as i stated above

| oh I was just wondering, not challenging the knowledge you gave - we did the flag retreat in 2007 - went in the first day and didn't get to participate that day but snatched the next available one which was a whole six days later, so I was just curious of we got a special deal or what.
