Does Adventureland open later than the rest of the park?

Does Adventure land open later than the rest of Magic Kingdom? Or does it open at 9 with the rest of the park? Were doing three MK days next month and since most of my kids aren't into thrill rides were headed to other attractions when we first enter. I would like to head straight to Adventureland on one of our MK mornings, but don't want to do that just to find out it (or the rides) are closed! And it seems like I read somewhere that Jungle cruise and some other things didn't open till an hour after the park. Thanks in advance!

I've been there when A'land didn't open during EMH mornings -- it didn't open until the park opened to non-resort guests.

But, on "regular" openings, it's always been open as soon as the park opens to regular guests (in my experience.) That's not a guarantee, however, that they won't open some of the rides later.

Looking at your countdown, you'll be there for Thanksgiving. My guess is that they'll have to have everything up and running at park opening to accomodate the volume of guests who'll be in the parks those days.

When we have been at MK, there have been days when some attractions like the Jungle Cruise, and the Hall of Presidents didn't open until later 10:00am or so when the rest of the park opened at 9:00am, but I don't remember it being a lot of attractions that had a delayed opening. You can pick up a schedule as you enter the park, and it will give you information about any delayed openings that may be happening that day.

I don't know about Thanksgiving week..But we've only been there in the fall and Adventureland didn't open till 10am...They actually had a rope across preventing access to that area..we waited with a small crowd and had a nice conversation with another family while we waited...

There have been times we've gone and Adventureland was not open until 10am.

I have found that the Enchanted Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents (in Liberty Square) and Country Bear Jamboree (in Frontierland) tend to open one hour after the park opens. I was at MK this past weekend and Jungle Cruise and Pirates opened at the same time as the park.

Yes I have had that happen. A CM told me it is because they have to awaken the animals on the jungle cruise

Seriously, the fast pass machines worked, so I got a Jungle Cruise fast pass and then headed on to Pirates, Splash and Big Thunder while I waited.

Hmmm - interesting to see that the schedules change. Hopefully it'll be on the tip sheet. We were there at the end of September, and everything in Adventureland was open at 9:00 except Jungle Cruise (10:00). There wasn't a sign saying it opened late, it just said that there was a ___ wait (I finally figured out it was counting down to 10:00...). It's tough to plan when the schedule is unpredictable, but there's enough over on that side of the park that you can always come back to it at 10:00.
