| Park Hopper Question My DB and DSIL have two 5 day tickets with no expiration. They are not going to be able to go back to DW anytime soon. They are wanting to sell their tickets to my DMIL and DFIL for our upcoming trip. Does anyone know if he can sell these? They have signed the back of the tickets. Any help would be appreciated.

| As soon as they've been put through a turnstile and had a finger scan associated with the person who entered with that ticket, the ticket cannot be transferred. If they bought them, but have never used them, they *can* be sold to another person. Eileen

| They should just put them away somewhere safe (i.e. jewelry box, old Passporter book, with other important papers like car title, or such) and use them whenever they do return....even if it's 10 years from now. It will save them a lot of money at that time.

| Back in Feb 09, mom and I interchanged tickets repeatedly over the course of our trip, because we kept them together in my back pocket, and they still worked, even with the thumb scan. Not sure why it worked for us *shrug* but it did. If it were me, I'd at least try the old tickets before buying new ones. Here's what I wonder, and maybe you guys know the answer to this - people resell partially used Disney tickets to ticket brokers, who then sell them at a discounted rate to other people. A long long long (long) time ago, we bought our tickets that way. How does that work, if fingers have been scanned?

| A long long long (long) time ago fingers weren't scanned, so that wasn't the factor it is now. I can say that we did mix up our tickets once recently....and were not able to use them to enter the park without switching back to the correct ones.

| Thanks! I really didn't know how strict they were with the finger scan. I appreciate all the replies!

| When they moved to the Magic Your Way tickets (back in January 2005), the finger scans came in. Before then, people were taking a serious risk in purchasing used tickets -- there were a lot of unscrupulous deal-makers taking advantage of people. (It's part of the reason for the MYW change-over, according to Disney.) It's possible that your mom and you have similar enough fingers that you were able to make the scans work for you. But it's important to know that Disney reserves the right to confiscate tickets that are used in a manner that does not comply with their policy. I don't think I'd take the risk. Eileen
