What rides can you fit...

three people on together. We're going to WDW in less then 3 weeks and there are 5 of us me, DH, DS8, DD5, and DS3.5, now that DS3.5 has reached the 40 inch mark he can go on many of the rides he couldn't go on last time. This presents us with the problem of 2 adults and 3 kids = not enough grownups per kid. What rides will accommodate 3 people sitting together (1 adult and 2 children). Can we fit on SplashM and BTMR. What about Goofy's Barnstormer, can I put my 8 y/o by himself or do I sit the 8y/o and 5y/o together. I have no idea what to do
Also which of the 40 inch rides would you NOT do with a 3.5y/o, he's sort of middle of the road when it comes to fearlessness and being cautious (not overly cautious and not too fearless) He's been on small roller coasters and liked it. Any insight would help TIA Jen

My son (3) also just reached 40in! I'm so excited! I definately plan to put him on Soarin', Splash, Big Thunder, Star Tours, Test Track,
The two I'm not sure on and am probably NOT putting him on is Tower of Terror and Dinosaour. Dinosoaur is SO jerky and TOT- I'm just worried the scare factor will be too much for him and sometimes once they get scared, they become frightened over other more tame rides that they would otherwise be fine with. Thats JMO.
I think I've heard that you can put three people on BTMRR and Splash, but I have not done it myself, so hopefully someone will come along and verify. We are a family of 6- so even #'s. If you do need to put kids w/ out an adult, on most rides I would put the kids together and you alone. My kids out number me and that is what I do when needed! Have a great trip!!

Splash and BTMRR can handle 1 adult and 2 kids

SM, Thunder Railroad let us. Ages me, 6,4 at the time. Dumbo, snow white, peter pan, rides like that can be 3 as well. You won't have a problem with test track or soarin either.

We put my dh with 2 kids and myself with 1. Didn't have any problems. But I also have a 2 yr old that couldn't ride splash and BTMR. I would put the kids together and you ride alone if you cant fit 3 across.

We fit 1 adult and 2 children on BTMRR and Splash - not the Barnstormer though. I think the 8 and 5 y/o might be good together, but I'm not sure. When we went last January my DD's were 4 and their met the 40" requirement. They went on everything that had the 40" requirement except Tower of Terror, Dinosaur and TT. They might have been able to handle TT, but at the time, I wasn't sure what to expect. Having been on it, I'm glad we didn't take them on ToT, and Dinosaur. For each of the rides I also explained to them about the ride, so that things didn't come as too much of a surprise and they were fine on everything they rode. i.e. for Pirates, I told them it was going to be a boat ride in the dark and they may go down. For BTMRR, I told them it was going to be fast and bumpy.... that kind of information.

You can fit 3 or 4 across on Splash Mountain. For others where you can only fit 2 across, I would suggest having one parent ride with one child (probably DS3.5), then the other 2 children, then the other parent behind them. This way you are both within reach of the ones in the middle.

You can fit 3 across on BTM, Splash, Haunted Mansion, don't remember about the Fantasyland rides.
I wouldn't let the 3.5 do RnRc or TOT. Dinosaur-it would depend on your child. Maybe the others can ride it while 1 parent waits with 3.5 yr old, and see what they think. You know your childs comfort level best. Some children aren't comfortable with It's a Bugs Life either, or Stitches Great Escape.
