| if you look at the WDW website, go to the HS main page Disney's Hollywood Studios | Walt Disney World Resort click on "Calendar" choose your month in the drop down, then click on the actual day in question. there will be a times schedule for major events...seems like this holiday season they are generally turning them on at 6pm.

| I checked this out the other day and according to the website, they turn them on in December at 6pm. Not sure about November but probably around the same time as they need to make sure it's dark enough.

| I also had a hard time trying to find when they turn on the lights. I too found out that it was 6pm. When we are the Studios will close mostly at 8pm, so only 2 hours to see the lights. We are going to get there early to see them flip the switch, well I'm planning on it, hopefully it will happen.

| 6pm sounds right - that's been the time in previous years. ![]()

| What I am trying to figure out, is how to see BOTH the Osborne Lights and Fantasmic...I suppose I could RUUUUUUUUUUUUN back after Fantasmic is over and see them for a half an hour?

| This is my issue as well...though I guess since I have a seating voucher for Fantasmic I don't need to wait in line forever...but still...why can't they make Fantasmic at like, 7:30pm like they do in the summer *pouty face* |

I totally lost out and can't get a Fantasmic dining package. I am totally shocked about that, since I am but 1 person alone I thought they could spare 1 more pass. She did tell me to call back 2 days before I get there to see if anything opened up. I may be having to choose one or another, and I really want to see Fantasmic this time so it will probably win.

| Yes, I think is it about 6pm...but don't worry about DS closing at 8pm. During holidays the parks often have late hours. DS will probably open until 10 and some night 12midnight. (haven't checked yet but times are probably out now) Lots of lights & lots of guests for the holidays. ![]() Enjoy! They are beautiful...I can't wait only 28 more days! ![]() |

| We have the same concern as we are going to DHS on a night when they close at 7:00. It's really tough to have a sit-down dinner and also be able to spend time enjoying the lights. I understand that they have to wait for it to be dark enough, but it's crazy that the lights will only be on for an hour some nights! I don't even think you could see all of the dancing light shows in that amount of time. Oh well, it looks like we'll be grabbing a quick meal at Pizza Planet instead of wasting that time at Mama Melrose's. Those lights are too good to miss!

| I don't know how it's going to work this year on nights when they don't have Fantasmic, but in previous years when it was running every night they definitely allowed you to view the lights well past the official closing time of the park. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed guests to stay and view the Osborne lights past official closing time on nights they don't have Fantasmic simply because of how much time and expense is involved in putting them up. I mean, they want people to be able to see them, but they can't turn them on until it gets dark, which kind of limits how much time there is to see them. |
