Question DTD shopping question

I wasn't sure where to post this question. Do the stores at DTD send packages back to the resorts for guests?

Yes, they send them to your resort gift shop for pick up. Just make sure you give the package a full day to arrive - sometimes it takes some time to arrive. They usually advise not trying to do this the day before your departure.

The stores I have shopped at send back to the resort. I have done this the past few years.

I was going to mention this too. In May, they were saying to allow three days for packages to get back to your resort...

Good to know. I just checked that we'll have three days. LeAnn is shopping at DTD while I'm at the Marty Sklar/Lee Cockrell seminar. Then we're both heading to the GF for tea followed by a night at MVMCP. L..O..N..G day

I wouldn't be able to wait, I am not very patient. Guess I would have to carry my bags around rather than wait up to 3 days to get them. Or learn to be patient....

They will also ship your packages home for you (though not for free!) This can be very useful if you buy a bunch of stuff and don't want to have to fit it all into your luggage for a flight home, particularly if you buy fragile items that would not survive a trip in checked bags.

If you buy something that's fairly small/light but expensive and want to have it shipped home, beware that the stores usually ship based on how expensive your purchase is, not based on weight. If you ship your purchase from your resort from desk as opposed to from a shop, they'll actually ship it based on weight like the normal postal service would.

I believe you can also have them sent to the front of the park so you can pick them up when you leave. Unless they no longer do that.
