MVMCP

We always get tickets to MVMCP, it's one of the reasons we go to WDW in Dec. The last 6 years or so Magic Kingdom has gotten more crowded during MVMCP with each passing year, and we go in early Dec. Last year was just the worst, I really think they have been either increasing the # of tickets to MVMCP each year or people are just hanging back rather than leaving and enjoying MVMCP without buying the tickets. What do you think???

Actually what happens now is they allow day guests to stay on Main Street to watch the first parade and the fireworks but they are not allowed off Main Street at all unless it's to exit the park. They are not allow inside any of the Main Street stores or into any of the lands without the party wristbands. That's why it seems so much more crowded. What we do is we hit Exposition Hall to get our Party Buttons at the start of the Party, make our way up Main Street through the stores since we can get through the stores thanks to our wristbands and then spend the first part of the party in the lands where the day guests can't go, come out to watch Holiday Wishes and then head off and do other things before finding a spot for the second showing of the Christmas parade, when the day guests have left for the night.

Thumbs up

Yes, I did notice that as crowded as Main Street was and boy was it crowded, the rides had no wait at all. It all makes sense now, I don't like it, but it makes sense.

I think it's because people were finding ways to stay and watch it anyways so this way people can stay but are not allowed past Main Street. We were asked for our wristbands to get into Tomorrowland off of Main Street last year. Plus anytime we wanted into a store or onto an attraction we were asked for our wristband.

It'll be interesting to see how we find it - I've seen no difference from our first MVCMP in 2000 to our most recent one in 2007... I hope we don't find it anymore crowded this year...

They were checking bands at the Halloween party we went to this year with greater frequency than the Christmas Party last year so hopefully you will see a difference.
