Disney Quest

I am planning on letting my DS go to Quest one day of our vacation. Does anyone know how late do the buses run? Is the bus stop close to the door? Don't know yet who is going w/ him but I am concerned about safety.
My DS is telling me I'm over-reacting but what can I say I'm a Mom.

Remember it's a woman's perogative to change her mind, and it's a mom's perogative to worry. As a mom and a woman-I guess that should go without saying- I think it's valid to plan ahead and be proactive. I seem to remember walking pretty far, but I think that is because we chose to walk through downtown Disney first. I assume Disney Quest has its own bus stop. I hope someone can answer your question better. Safety First! Go Mom.

There is not a bus stop right by there, stand your ground and make sure you are comfortable with the situation. How old is DS?

Here is a link to a dtd map

There is a bus stop closer than the DTD one, but it seems that it was still a bit of a walk. OLP: Transportation Wizard -- Our Laughing Place home of OLPTravel Not sure what resort you are staying at, but the Transportation Wizard tells you the fastest way, and how long it takes. I don't know how late the bus runs, but I think it's late.

Thanks for sharing that link, Sue. I was looking for this the other day! Way to answer my questions before I ask.

I agree with the other moms. Make sure you are safe with the situation!

Is there someone he can go with? I understand your worry about letting him go alone.
16 yr olds think they are invincible and nothing will ever happen to him. WDW is pretty safe, but still you hear every now & then about an incident.
If he had someone to go with and his cell phone i wouldn't worry. Alone, yup I'd worry too! Good luck!

I think we have figured it out...he can have freedom going by himself. But I will go down and pick him up at the enterance at a set up time. Then I have peace of mind and he can spread his wings.

Sounds like a reasonable compromise. Maybe you can do some shopping in DTD while he's at Disney Quest. Or enjoy a nice meal.... I totally understand your concerns - my eldest DD is 15!
