| Verizon's Disney Mobile Magic App Now that it's been out for a couple of months, I was wondering if anyone had been able to try this app out while in WDW yet. Since it is officially from Disney, I have high hopes for it. I have Verizon, but my phone does not get the app. Luckily, my DS is due to get a new phone this summer, so I can make sure that his phone will be able to get it, as long as the app is worth it. |

![]() I haven't actually used it in the parks, but I can still get actual, up-to-the-minute info. When you turn it on, you have the option of letting it "see" where you are (if you're at WDW; otherwise you just say no, you don't want to use your current location). I've been playing around with it quite a bit so that I'm familiar with it on my trip. Looks like some of you are going after I am, so I'd be happy to come back here and post my in-park experience when I get back! I will just say again that it does it all. You can look up a place to eat based on where you are, what sort of food you want, etc.. It gives you a map for the attractions as you're looking them up. Lists the resorts, what's available there from shopping to eating to recreation. TONS!! | |

| I plan on getting it for our August trip. Maybe I should get it soon so I can play with it before we go too.

| I was not impressed with this app. Mostly because what I thought it would be useful for is to know current wait times and FP times before I criss-crossed the park to try and get to something. The examples I saw specifically said what the times were...on the app it just said "See now" "Moderate" "Limited Availability"...so it gave a general idea, but no clear guidance. It was helpful for finding characters...I suppose if we had never been there before we could have used the map...but they're the same maps that are published in the brochures that are available when you walk in. Not really too helpful for people who know a bit about the park. I did have a few of those "too excited to sleep" nights on our trip and I pulled it out and played the Disney trivia game. It's kind of neat for $9.99...I won't buy it again, it didn't really give me any information that I didn't already know and I suspect the same would be true for most people who frequent this website.

| I got a Droid not too long ago and was disappointed that it doesn't work with any smart phones as of yet.

| We switched to Verizon last September and was really upset that it's not avaliable for BBs. I have a membership to touringplans.com and they are using their own system for times and updates called "LINES". Their yearly subscr rate is 8.95 and it does include the "lines" app. This app now works on all smartphones, and I believe they said on Droid also. My current suscrip runs out soon, but I plan on renewing it just because of the "lines" app. One thing that I do like is that everyone can share in the posting of waiting times while you are in the park. I think all smart phone users should check it out. I've been really impressed with it especially since it doesn't look like Verizon will get MM for the smartphones any time soon. Also, the 8.95 yearly price is a little better. They offer a trial so you can see what you think of it. |
