Any info on the 11/16 press event for Stitch's Opening? About This Page:

We're going to be at WDW during the Stitch's Great Escape press event on the 16th.

Does anyone have any info on what time of day or how it might affect touring that day? (For the Mission:Space press event, it happened at night and the parks closed early -- if I'm remembering right.)

So far, the Disney website lists the MK as being open normal operating hours for that time of the year.

I'm wondering if we should avoid the MK that day.

Even I don't have information on the event (no, I won't be going). It's billed as a local media event, and it won't be nearly as extensive or intrusive as last year's fall media event, which was combined with a travel agent event.

My best guess is that Stitch will be closed to the public for part of the day in order to facilitate the media. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the impact will be, although I suspect it will be small. They may not even spend the entire day at MK, since there's little else new at the park. One possibility is that they'll treat the media to one or more of the Magical Gatherings events. That would effect folks ability to reserve the event, "Sorry, I have no availabilities on that date."

I think we'll probably play it by ear and be at the MK unless it gets crazy. Or, if it's warm, maybe we'll try our first water park!
