Multi day stroller rental discounts

I have heard that you can rent a stroller for more than one day (instead of having to pay each day.) Can anyone tell me if a discount is involved? Do you pay on the first day and get a reciept for the remaining days?

Re: Multi day stroller rental discounts

Disney rents strollers at $8 per day for a single, $15 per day for a double. If you return the stroller at the end of the day, they will rebate $1.

Disney offers a discount of 10% (or more) for multi-day stroller rentals. A multi-day rental will also save you time, because you'll be given a receipt that allows you to go up to the cast member dispensing the strollers, have them stamp your receipt, get your stroller and you’re off! No more waiting in the long cashier line to pay for a daily rental. In addition, they will refund any unused days. Thanks to Julie S and Lisa C for additional info.

Hold on to your receipt! If you misplace your stroller, present the receipt and they'll replace it without charge. Also, the fee covers rental for the whole day, even if you "hop" between parks on the same day. So if you start the day at one park and then move on to another park later, keep your receipt from the first park and present it at the stroller rental. They'll issue you a stroller at the second park without additional charge.

Bringing your own stroller will, of course, save you quite a bit of money. However, this may be counterbalanced by the hassles of getting it to Walt Disney World and then loading it on and off buses, monorails and boats (if you use Disney transportation) or in and out of a car trunk (if you'll have a car at Disney).

If you want to avoid the hassle of transporting a stroller on a plane, you might consider buying a cheap one upon arrival and giving it to another lucky family when you leave.

Re: Multi day stroller rental discounts

Another thing to consider is that you have to return the stroller at the end of the day....this is often when "Junior" needs it most! Often times we end up walking farther to get back to our resort than we ever did in the park itself!

If your kids don't really need a stroller all the time, then renting during your stay may be the way to go. But, if they are anything like my girls, having that stroller to push back to our room was worth ALL the hassles it might take to get it there!!

Re: Multi day stroller rental discounts

The problem is that with 2 kids and 2 parents, we are planning on renting a double stroller. I think it would be too hard to bring 2 strollers from home and have each adult try to get a kid and a stroller onto busses, etc. Also, even it I had my own to bring, a double stroller would not be easy to get on a bus. Any suggestions?

Re: Multi day stroller rental discounts

If they both need a stroller for sure, then I would rent the double. Some people had double stollers and they had a heck of a time getting them on the bus, but they did do it. However, then you wouldn't have one outside the parks. It can be a long walk from the bus to your room after a long day at the parks. Also, downtown or exploring other resorts you wouldn't have one. They DO sell double umbrella strollers that are easier to handle than the big stadium seat ones. That might work too, but I think they are about $70 so might be cheaper just to rent one.
