Stroller ponchos Can you actually buy "stroller ponchos?" If so, where? If not, do you just use regular ponchos over the strollers? I can't imagine that they fit? I'm going in September. We were there for one lone day in September two years ago and of course, got caught in a rainstorm. We didn't mind getting wet, but we did mind the backpack in the stroller getting soaked. Any info on this matter will be greatly appreciated, as usual.

Re: Stroller ponchos I purchased a rain cover for my stroller at Babies R Us. You might also be able to get them at www.babiesrus.com or at your local Toys R Us. I don't think it was very costly. I've read that people get creative with covering their strollers and use things such as a vinyl/plastic table cloth. Others use a regular adult rain poncho from the dollar store or places like K-Mart, Walmart or Target.

Re: Stroller ponchos We just used our regular adult size poncho and put it over the stroller (we have an umbrella stroller and it we put it over it just as if it was someone wearing it -- then we laid the hood over the neck opening!)It covered everything that we needed to keep dry!!! ![]()

Re: Stroller ponchos I would go for the covers that they sell at Babies'r' us. Last June I tried to use the regular ponchos on the strollers found in the parks. It really didn't work so well with ot without my son in it. I would have loved to had the cover.

Re: Stroller ponchos I bought a pop-open variety a few years ago at BRU and did not like it at all. Fortunately, our new jogger came with a cover and it sure came in handy, not only for rain showers, but for keeping the wind off DD! I've seen lots of people use regular ponchos.

Re: Stroller ponchos I have used botht the Stroller ones and improvised with the ponchos. The ponchos work well if the stroller has a bar or tray across the front. (To keep the poncho from laying across the child.) The rain gear one that fit my Graco stroller worked well and allowed my daughter to see and had a more tailored fit. Along with air vents on the sides. A word of advise....Practice getting the cover on and off at home or someplace DRY before you need to use it in the rain. AHHH the lessons we learn.
