Park touring with toddlers map??? I seem to remember a few people mentioning a map or guide being "tested" at MK which was geared towards touring the park with toddlers/pre-schoolers. Does anyone have any information or comments on these guides? Good, bad, indifferent? If anyone has a scan of the guide/map, I'd love to see it. Please PM me or just reply to this post! ![]()

Re: Park touring with toddlers map??? Yes, there is a new map that highlights the attractions good for pre-schoolers. I can't find a scanned image of it anywhere on the web. I read a trip report recently that mentioned they used it and they said it was very helpful since they had never been there with a child. I'll keep looking!

Re: Park touring with toddlers map??? I found (by accident) a copy of this guide inside Toontown Hall of Fame, there is a rack of guidemaps just inside the door to your right as you enter. Although I'm sure you could ask for one at City Hall, and they probably have them elsewhere. But I must say I was disappointed with it, if you've ever been to WDW or if you have ever done any reading about Magic Kingdom, you already know the stuff in the brochure. I'm sure it would be very helpful, though, for first-time visitors. When you first open the brochure, it points out 4 things: 1) pick up a guidemap and times guide (duh!) 2) you can rent a stroller (duh!) 3) they have a baby care center (duh! for repeat visitors) and 4) look on your map for the restroom symbol (duh!) Do we really need a separate guide to get this information? On the inside of the brochure is a diagram (it can't really be called a map) that lists the rides and shows in each land that small children would probably like. It also lists some of the character greeting areas (although not all of them). On the side of the diagram it mentions the rider swap process, and suggests that you eat your meals at earlier times than normal to avoid the crowds. The back of the brochure goes over safety rules and asks you to supervise your children at all times. So can you tell I was not impressed? Like I mentioned before, this would be nice for first-time visitors, but so much of the information is so basic and can be found elsewhere, that I don't really understand why they had to make a separate brochure for it. It sounded like such a good idea before we left home, but once I saw it, I believe they could have done a lot more with it and made it much more useful.

Re: Park touring with toddlers map??? Thanks for the info. I'm actually putting together an information packet for a few first-time visitors with toddlers. So, I still think this is good info for them...especially the suggested rides and safety info. P.S. I really like your snapshot impressions of things during your last visit.
