Info on Backstage Magic tour /Family Magic Tour We may be going to WDW in January and was wondering about the Family Magic Tour and the Backstage Magic Tour. It would be myself, husband, daughter (5), dad, mom and niece (11). I haven't seen much about about the Family Magic Tour. I do know that the Backstage tour is long and probably not good for all of us, but I thought at least myself and my husband could do it. Any thoughts on them. Thanks! Lori

Re: Info on Backstage Magic tour /Family Magic Tour My DD (4 yrs old) and I did the Family Magic Tour in February and she loved it. The guide was fun and got everyone involved in the tour. You follow a treasure map that is from Peter Pan and there is great character interaction at the end of the tour. My DD still talks about hanging out with Wendy! Its a fun tour!

Re: Info on Backstage Magic tour /Family Magic Tour I would love to take both of these, as I hear they're great! Your daughter would be able to take only the Family Magic Tour. I *think* there is another tour at the MK that kids can go on, but I could be wrong. I've done the Keys to the Kingdom tour and LOVED it! Have fun! Jennifer

Re: Info on Backstage Magic tour /Family Magic Tour I've never taken the Backstage Magic tour so I'm afraid I can't help you out with that one. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the Family Magic Tour which is actually misnamed as it's really much more of magical scavenger hunt than it is a tour. I highly recommend this experience. [ QUOTE ] Your daughter would be able to take only the Family Magic Tour. I *think* there is another tour at the MK that kids can go on, but I could be wrong. [/ QUOTE ] The Mickey's Magical Milestones Tour in the MK has no minimum age disqualification (guidelines state that it's recommended for 10 and up) and is fun for folks of all ages. Although some of the information might not be of huge interest to your DD, there's enough stuff that will plus fun interaction with two Disney characters. If you want more detailed info about this tour, just PM me and I'll send it to you. Joy

Re: Info on Backstage Magic tour /Family Magic Tour If you have the time, I would highly recommend the Backstage Magic tour. You will tour three parks, and get some really cool behind the scenes looks at the magic! I think the age is 16, though, and when I did it (in 1998) you were not allowed to bring a camera. There is also discounts available. I think you can get a DVC discount, and maybe a Disney Visa discount. Or it may be an AP discount. Definitely ask about the discounts when you book it! ![]()
