Re: Tips for Solo Touring...

Use the single riders line as often as possible. It's usually faster than Fastpass

Re: Tips for Solo Touring...

Pick stuff (attractions, shows, restaurants) that you have always wanted to try but DH hasn't, and do them.

Take the time to just sit and watch people go by while you eat a Mickey Bar or a Dole Whip.

Explore some of the resorts - their grounds, gift shops, food courts, and lobbies can be beautiful.

Ride your favorite ride 3 or 4 times in a row.

Re: Tips for Solo Touring...

Everything that WIllcad said. I have toured many times solo. I do the things that the kids would not want to to do. ALso scope out things for Future visits with them.
Have you been before?
You could do the guided tours they have like Keys to the Kingdom.

Solo is fun in that you are not responsible for anyone but you. Browse a gift shop as long as you like, visit the attractions you want to see.
No one will think it odd that you are alone. Many people split up for a while & do different interests. I was there in January with a friend & we went our seperate ways for a bit. Now that the kids are older I give them some Freedom too.

Re: Tips for Solo Touring...

Oh, I going solo! My Dfamily was with me for EE preview, but they had to go home for work/school. I stayed on at POP and had lots of solo time. DD is a cm, but works horribly long hours. She had 2 days off during my 6 days there.

I love being able to get up and do what I want! One day I'll be ready to face the world at the crack of dawn. A shower, a chocolate croissant and on my way! Other days, I'll lounge around until 10/11 for a movie on Lifetime or to read a magazine/book.

At the parks, I'm free to do whatever I feel like. It's nice not to have to say - where do you want to go, what do you want to do/eat. I just go.

At AK, I head right for Lion King. (Used to head for Tarzan Rocks, but I don't discuss that tragedy! ) At MGM, for Beauty and the Beast. In other words, shows. I love musicals. Rides are important to me, but I take the time to see shows that I would miss for another ride on SM with my Dteens.

Eating is so irregular when I'm alone. I found myself eating a chocolate croissant for breakfast and not being hungry till dinner. If the gang was with me, I'd be a mom and say - we have to eat lunch.

Walking into Fantasmic at the last 1/2 hour before showing or in front of the castle 5 minutes before Wishes. It's so much easier to get a spot when you're solo.

It's been said already, but sitting and watching! It's amazing how many people will stop and talk to you. I've had people who've asked me to join them at their table. I've had some great conversations with people I never would have met if I wasn't solo.

Waiting in line for rides can be fun too. You may think you'll have no one to talk to, but for some reason people hate to see someone all alone. I am always being dragged into other conversations - asked advice.

Riding solo is fun - even on Cinderella's Carousel!

Enjoy your time experiencing Disney without any worries! When you're a wife or a wife mom, you want everyone else to be happy and you work hard to make it happen. When you are alone, you are making yourself happy on vacation - for perhaps the first time in your life!
