E-Ride nights for December? I looked on a site that historically checked all E-Ride nights for the last three years (I think it is Deb's site). I noticed that in the past three years there has only been one E-Ride night in December and that was three years ago! Any one know why? Maybe the Very Merry Christmas Party takes E-Ride night's place? The Very Merry Christmas Party seemed horribly crowded when I went four years ago, and almost not worth attending. Anyone have any thoughts on this event? ------------------ Believe in the magic of disney and the joy it brings to all!!!

Re: E-Ride nights for December? When we were there Dec. 2-12,2000 the parks were open 9-6. It seemed to close early. Some nights they did have the Very Merry Christmas Party but it seemed more crowded than during the normal park operating hours. ------------------ Believe in the magic of disney and the joy it brings to all!!!

Re: E-Ride nights for December? The main reason for the absence of December E-Ride Nights is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). I'd have to agree that attendence at MVMCP is much higher than a typical E-Ride Night, but then MVMCP is much more festive and offers more activities than an E-Ride Night. Still, the lines for most attractions are far shorter than during the day. In the end, it's really a matter of what you're looking for - MVMCP is a lot of fun, but it's not an E-Ride Night. ------------------ Co-Author, PassPorter Walt Disney World 2001 http://www.passporter.com/wdw/

Re: E-Ride nights for December? From what I've read, E-ride night has generally been reserved for the "off-season" or value season. During those seasons (September, October, January, February, and some others, I'm sure), the parks will sometime close as early as 6:00 p.m. Therefore, Disney generally offers more E-ride nights to those whose hours are "shortened". However, in December, the parks stay open later, and there really isn't that much need to have an E-ride night, since you've got a good 12 hours to tour the parks anyway. At least, that's my feeling on the matter... ------------------ Somebody call IX-I-I!!! Wilderness Lodge/All Star Music--September 2000 ![]()

Re: E-Ride nights for December? Six years ago we attended The Very Merry Christmas Party. It seemed as if they were held once or twice weekly throughout the christmas season. My kids were 2 and 4 at the time.We left the MK after lunch so they could nap. When we returned for the VMCP, it was shoulder to shoulder crowded! No one could really move on Main Street because there were so many people.Idon't remember if it was a weekday or weekend. My DH and I were really disapointed because we left a nearly deserted theme park to return with it so crowded.I don't know if my experience was an isolated incident or a typical occurance. I'd like to try it again this December, but i'm apprehensive.Has anyone attended the VMCP lately? Any tips? That is why I was really hoping for an E- ride night. ------------------ Believe in the magic of disney and the joy it brings to all!!!

Re: E-Ride nights for December? I think MVMCP is three nights a week. And I think it is only for the first two or three weeks of December. I could be wrong, but that is what I recall it to be. ------------------ 10/96-Contemporary 4/98-Contemporary 12/01-Contemporary
