Question Universal resorts/Citiwalk dining reviews

Please post your reviews and experiences (good or bad) of the restaurants at the 3 Universal resorts and Citiwalk. There's not a lot of info out there, and I think this would be helpful to USF trip planners. Thanks!!

At CitiWalk, we've eaten at Nascar Cafe, which has since been changed to something else. It was good food, but pretty standard items.

The Hard Rock Cafe - well, it's a HRC. It's ok, not my favorite, decent food, a bit overpriced.

At HRH, we've had hamburgers at The Kitchen - and they were very good!

We've only eaten at Emeril's in City Walk, but we had a wonderful meal there. Here's the excerpt from my trip report about it:

We were shown to our table immediately and there were probably only about another seven tables in use, while we were there. The second we walked in, you could tell that this was a good place. The servers were just so attentive to your every need. Tara went for the set menu, while Mark had the shrimp for starter, followed by the fillet steak with potato and cabbage. I went for the rock shrimp enchiladas, followed by fresh fish of the day, which was salmon. Mine was beautiful. I took my time with it and savoured every mouthful. Tara told us that it was about the fourth time eating here and she had never had a bad meal and having sampled it, I could believe that. I’m very glad we tried this place, it’s worth dining at if you get the chance.

We recently had lunch at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, it was myself, my sister-in-law and two nephews. We all enjoyed our lunch very much. I had the volcano nachos and believe me there is more than enough for an army. The chips were very good and too bad I couldn't take the rest to go, but we were off to the Universal afterwards. We stayed to watch the volcano erupt in the bar area and fill up the Margarita glass, very fun to watch.

Here is my review of Emeril's which I posted in another thread. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend it!

I just got back on Monday from Orlando, and I wanted to let all of you know that Emeril's was awesome! We went there for dinner and everything we had was out of this world! Since we had been eating so much over the course of this trip, we decided that we would stick to appetizers and dessert rather than a full fledged entree for dinner. I ended up ordering the roasted garlic and potato soup which comes topped with chives, sour cream, and garlic oil. I can honestly say that it is the best soup I have ever eaten! I followed that up with the pan crispy crab cake which was equally delicious. My friend got the smoked wild and exotic mushrooms which were served over angel hair pasta. That was followed by Emeril's salad. She said that both appetizers were very good. We then split the molten chocolate cake which was served with mango sorbet and chantilly cream. Service at Emeril's is topnotch across the board. They have a team of two servers for each table in their section, and as they said when we were seated, "You will be pampered." They came around often to make sure everything was fine and we had everything we needed, but they were never intrusive. I left to use the restroom before the meal was served, and I came back to find that my napkin had been refolded and placed neatly in front of my spot at the table! As we were sitting there we saw some wonderful looking main courses go by. We decided if we ever go back, we will not eat the rest of the day so that we can order more the next time around. We looked at the lunch menu on the way out, and it looks equally delicious. If you have never tried it, I would definitely make room for Emeril's in your dining plans.
