How to get from WDW to USF

I've just brought tickets to Universal Studios (2 Park 1 Day + Blue Man Group) for the 5th December (Wed) and have one tiny winy problem..... how to get there.

If at all possible I am keen NOT to hire a car I would rather take a car service (Quicksilver?) or grab a cab. We plan to get to USF about 8:20 and imagine we'll want to leave sometime about 11pm (The show finishes at 10pm).

So, what si the best way to get there? Take a taxi (How much do you think ti would cost royghly?)or get a car service (And can we get them to pick us up at that time? Money is not the real issue as we will be mroe interested in the "best" method (easiest, less stressful etc) eather than the cheapest.

Quicksilver has a roundtrip rate from WDW to Universal for $70. They will pick you up any time you'd like. I'm not sure how much a cab would cost you.

cabs and private cars are usually roughly the same in orlando. normally i'd say a cab is $50-$70 round trip.

the other alternative is mears shuttle which is $16 per person roundtrip.

Thanks all I think I'll send Quicksilver an email .

I also want to apoligise. As soon as I posted my original question I did a search on passed topics... and of course found this was asked about 100 times before . I guess in my defense the fact I am coming back so late is a bit of a difference but thank you for not pointing out my "mistake" like some other boards would have.

No need to apologize - we love answering Universal questions here! And transportation issues are changing all the time, so an answer to this question a year ago may not be valid today.

With the help of all my PassPorter friends I have decided "how" I am going to get from WDW (Coronado Springs)to Universal Studios (The lovely people at QuickSilver) now all I have to decide is pickup and drop off times.

We will are going to US on Wednesday 5th Dec which this stage shows a 9am park opening which is when we would like to be there.

Coming back is probably the trickier bit. We have Blue Man Group tickets for 8:00pm which I'm guessing will run through to about 10pm (It's a 1 hour 40 minutes show). How much of City Walk is open at 10pm? Will the restaurants and shopping still be open? If so we would probably look at a 11:30 pickup which would give us time for a quick walk around the shops and maybe a desert and coffee etc.

Any advice on the above would be very much appreciated. Is the place too dead at 11:30? Should we just arrange for the town car at 10:30 after the show instead? What time should we arrange the pickup in the morning to get there at say 8:45am.
