| Disaster! officially opened *spoiler included* Disaster! had its grand opening on 1/17/08. IOAcentral.com has posted a video of the opening event on their site, so check it out: IOACentral.com › The Adventure Lives Online! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was there, and some nice footage of him! | Just saw this thread. We saw Disaster while we were in Florida over Christmas and it is true. The effects are really cool how they mix him on film with an actual person. Looks so real. The ride has changed a little too, but I don't want to give that away!!

| I rode Disaster! this Saturday. The ride is a lot of fun. It's a vast improvement over Earthquake. I recommend checking it out. BTW, don't be fooled by the line length. It can wrap around to the backstage queue areas, but the line moves quickly since the ride can accommodate a large number of people. The posted wait time was pretty much correct. Even when the line wrapped around in the extended queue, I was in the building in 20 minutes. The posted wait time was 20 minutes.

| The Orlando Sentinel has two videos of Disaster worth checking out here: Universal Studios launches Disaster ride in Orlando -- OrlandoSentinel.com If you click "Next" to the right of the video viewer, you can select a preview of Disaster, which is a nice look at the new updated attraction. Looks like Universal has done a great job of giving an old attraction a fresh story.
