| Harry Potter at Universal -- when? Our computer is very tempermental when it comes to opening web pages, so I apologize for asking what looks to be easily discovered online. What is the current estimated opening date for the Harry Potter Wizarding World? Still end of 09? We were hoping to do one last trip to WDW before DD turns 10. But we really want to visit the HP stuff -- it's finally going to get us off Disney property. I'm not sure we can do both at the same time. So we may have to bump the Disney trip -- paying adult prices for DD is still cheaper than a second set of plane tickets and hotel rooms.

| I want to do this one too! I think I will have to plan a trip just for Universal in 2010! Well.... maybe NOT JUST Universal he he he... And has anyone seen the info on the new roller coaster they are building? Sounds like a high tech more involved version of Rock n Roller Coaster!

| I am such a Disney fan that I have refused to go over to Universal, but... being a Harry Potter fan also could lure me over for one trip. For us, it looks like April vacation of 2010. My sister and her family raved about the Portofino Resort when they went a couple of years ago. So, we'll probably have to stay there. I hope there's lots more info about this.

| Twister is one of my favorite movies but the attraction is kinda boring. All the other universal/IOA rides I love, well most of them anyway. you will love ET thats one of my faves. |

| I've never really paid attention to opening date announcements -- we've always been of the "what's there is there" camp. But this may determine when or whether we go. So for those of you with more experience watching these kinds of things.... when can I expect a more definitive announcement? How far out do they usually commit to an opening date?

| Lately it seems that Universal has been waiting until the last minute to annouce opening dates for new attractions, like a month. It's been vague announcements for The Simpsons ride like "Spring 2008". They annouced the official grand opening date of 5/15 for The Simpsons on about 4/15. I think this Harry Potter island will open in phases. It might open initially with a couple of attractions with more attractions to be added later. Just my opinion there based on things I've read about it.

| Twister was o.k., I think the earthquake ride was better. I love Spider Man, how cool is that?! And Shrek 3D. I'm getting excited about our up coming trip in Aug, but will miss WDW. However we've been there twice recently Last Aug for 10 days & in Jan for 3. Haven't been to Universal & Sea World for awhile, & looking forward to checking out Aquatica & the new Simpson ride!

| Whenever it does open, we plan on going a year later. Let the kinks get worked out; the crowds chill, etc. We plan on staying at the hard rock or portofino for 2 nites(to get the "cut in line" benefit, and then 4 nites at Disney!
