Will this work? Help!

We will be flying into Orlando on Saturday, November 28, 2009 (yes, I am planning ahead). We plan to stay the night at the Hyatt at the airport. Sunday, November 29, we will be using Quicksilver to Port Canaveral for a 4 night cruise on the Wonder. It arrives back in port on Thursday, December 3. Our idea is to get a transfer (QS again) to Universal and stay in an onsite hotel until Sunday, December 6, when we would get a transfer back to the airport and head home.

That would give us most of Thursday, all of Friday and Saturday, and maybe a bit of Sunday to see US and IoA. We would be staying onsite, so we would have the front of the line access, and I am assuming that is a fairly slow time of the year (based on our trip to WDW the first week of December, 2005). I THINK that should be plenty of time. Am I right, or way off? The most we have seen of Universal is City Walk. We keep wanting to go, but it is too short to be a trip by itself, and too long to try to slip into a Disney trip. We figured that pairing it with the cruise would work perfectly.

I know that AAA offers a discount on Universal packages. Fred (DH) wants to eat at Margaritaville (we did the last time we were at City Walk). Ethan (DS10) loves thrill rides; Nick (DS5) not at all. Any suggestions, hints, ideas? Thanks much!!

I think 3 days is plenty for Universal. If you have done and see all, or if the parks close early, don't forget to enjoy the Universal resorts. Take a dip in the pool at night. It should be warm enough for a swim!

I think that is the perfect plan for Universal! It gives you one full day at each park, then a third day to visit your favorites again.

I would weigh the cost difference between a package and buying separately. We've always come out better to buy admission separate from room rates, especially with discounts. Sign up at the Loew's site and at Universal's site so you can get email notification of any specials.

We were there for 4 days last year, and the girls got bored. We did everthing in less than 2 days. The 7 day pass on the Univesal web site is a great deal. Last year we got 7 day passes for $75, but I think that they have gone up this year.

I definitely think your plan will work. We were surprised at how small both parks were. You can easily see and do everything in the amount of time you are proposing. We had 4 days at Universal one time and the kids actually got a little bored. We ended up do things 2 and 3 times. Its great tho. We loved both parks and Citywalk.

Have a great time.

We stayed at The Hard Rock, the Front of the Line pass works great! You could easily do 1 park a day, & use the extra time to revisit your favs. The Simpsons Ride is awsome!!

3 days is more than enough time to see both parks. Front-of-the-line is fabulous. Check iout CityWalk - it's a lot of fun
