| when comparing onsite WDW accommodations to Universal's offerings, be sure to compare 'apples to apples'...the offerings @ U are truly deluxe. example: weekend rates end of June @ the Contemporary (no AAA when i checked nor is AP typically available this time period over the past thru years) r over $500+ a night . I am getting a 900+ sq foot, 2 room suite (courtesty my Loews Platinum upgradeWhile Loews has tightened the reqirements of their YouFirst program, they have always done right by me and rewarded my patronage. Will state that i do own DVC, yet it has thus far been more economical to do the weekends @ U properties...split stays r now standard m.o. for us lol additionally: u must include the value of FOTL passes for all in your party. The price varies as to the day yet i've seen it listed on their website from a low of $25 up to $50 pp for our travel dates in the past. Note that u get said privledge for both the day of and day you check out....priceless imo |

| I have planned a Universal/Disney trip for August 2009. Will be at Universal for 4 nights 8/19 - 8/22 @ HRH, then moving over to the BC for 5 nights 8/23 - 8/27. This will be our first trip to Universal and our first stay at a Deluxe resort at Disney (we usually stay in Moderate). We are all very excited about this trip!

| We are planning on Dec. 3-6, 2009 after Wonder cruise. Staying at HRH. I wish HPW was opening this year. We alternate years between WDW and Cruise/Universal. Maybe by the time we make it back all the kinks will be worked out. |

Universal Studios Orlando Hours, Park Hours, Islands of Adventure Operating Hours : Universal Orlando My teens were usually tired and didn't want too many night time activities. There is a movie theater at CityWalk. Sometimes the HRH has concerts inside the hotel, so check their schedule for that, as well as the Hard Rock Live venue. Blue Man Group could be another option for them. Wet and Wild is close by if they want to check out a water park in the evenings.

| We're going to do 2 days in the Universal parks before 9 days at WDW . . . we'll be at Universal Studios on June 22nd and at IOA on June 23rd. I am also planning on heading back down once the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens. It's kind of one of those "I MUST go." things.

| We are going down March 15th staying until March 20. We were going to do all Disney, but with the great ticket prices at Universal and the one free ticket I won on superbowl Sunday, Universal is the one for us this year. My only regret is that I had rented DVC points and we are staying at SSR. I really don't regret that because I got an awsome deal on the ressies. I would like to be closer to Universal though. I was already going to rent a car, so getting there will not be an issue.

HRH, very casual yet visually interesting, esp if ur into rock memerobilia. Easy walk to US too. imo, the staff tries a bit too hard to be laid back/cool We like RPR more, overall theming, pool scene & dining; not to mention the generally lowest prices onsite PBH, however; is my fav | |

| Thanx Keisha! Yeah, I'm thinking we go PBH, because we stay at the Hard Rock in Biloxi ALL the time, so why go for more of the same? I DO kwym about the slickness of the staff, and I'm just a mom, so yeah, not their demographic! |
