Universal Studios Guide Book

Does anyone have a recommendation for a book to get that is like a "passporter" but for US and IOA? We are going for the first time in November and would like some insight. I went to the book store and all they had was stuff on WDW.

TIA!!

We're going there for the first time in many, many years in August. I picked up a book called Universal Orlando 2008 - The Ultimate Guide to the Ultimate Theme Park Adventure by Kelly Monaghan. It is published by The Intrepid Traveler. It details everything about the park including specifics on each ride. It's been very useful for my planning purposes. Don't know if there's a 2009 edition or not. Hope that helps.

The 2009 edition of Kelly Monaghan's book is out. It is the best guidebook that I have found for Universal. It is no Passporter - the layout is strange (hotels are at the back of the book, not in the planning section, for example - but it gets the job done. The MSRP is $15.95, so you should be able to pick it up for less. Amazon has it for $10.85 here: http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Orlando-2009-Ultimate-Adventure/dp/1887140786/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245252885&sr=8-1.

The Universal Guide by Kelly Monaghan is a good one. The Unofficial Guide to WDW also has a Universal section that is pretty good.

Kelly Monaghan updates her book every year or 2. It's not as thorough as several of the WDW books, but it's very thorough.Front of the Line privilege is something Disney can't match (for obvious reasons)
