Has anyone heard any recent updates about progress on Hogwarts? I haven't heard anything in ages. TIA!

Universal's official site hasn't changed much except for new polls.
I googled "wizarding world of harry potter" the other night and found a couple of unofficial sites including one that had construction pictures. And pics of some things being built offsite. Looks very appealing!

Universal is being very hush hush on this one. I don't think any specific rides have been announced that I can remember.

Does anyone know if Dueling Dragons is still open? And if so, any updates on the closing date? I know that they said it would be closed for a while, but they were fuzzy on when. I was REALLY looking forward to riding, so I am hoping it will be open in early December.

Thanks, Carolyn and Michelle. It does appear they are keeping a very tight lid on progress updates. I noticed the date change to 2010 too, Michelle. But from your comments I was able to find a couple of sites with recent photo updates. In some pictures it does appear that Hogwarts is really beginning to take shape. It looks very exciting. In others it appears that they are still a long way off from it's debut. I hope they are taking their time and getting this done right. We have been Harry Potter fans from the beginning, and look forward with great anticipation to the new "theme park within a theme park."

A few days ago I submitted a question to US about tickets (just a general question). I was expecting an email response, but got a phone call instead Since I was on the phone I asked about the Harry Potter section and was told they had some difficulties with a couple rides and the new 'hopeful' opening will be Spring 2010. The customer service rep knew we were thinking of April 2010 and she made the comment that we'd get to enjoy it...I'm hoping nothing else goes wrong and it is open then!

I've heard an 'unofficial ' opening date somewhere between June 2010 and Dec 2010.

We had zero interest in Universal until this was announced.
We were hoping it would be done before DD turns 10, but looks like now she may get her "Hogwarts letter" when she turns 11 after all.

We are big HP fans here and we have been checking on updates on HP fan sites such as Mugglenet, they have some pics too. We can't wait.
