Question Counter service

Does anyone know about the various counter service places at IOA/US? Are there some you would recommend over others? When DH and I went last year, we went to City Walk for lunch but this time we'll have the kids with us and I don't want to take the time for a table service meal because they get too antsy after a bit. At Disney, we like Columbia Harbor House, Wolfgang Puck Express, Flame Tree Barbecue, just to give you an idea of our tastes. Thanks for any input on this!

Our favorite is the Midway Grill in US - right in front of Jaws. They have Nathan's Hot Dogs and awesome fries. It's a nice place to sit and relax and watch the boats go by.

Mel's Drive in has pretty good hamburgers. Richter's are ok.

I don't have a fave in IOA since they took out the Enchanted Oak!

We like Mels drive in and Monster Cafe at US. But I think Monster Cafe isn't open much anymore.

We haven't found a fav. at IOA yet. We've tried the one place in Suess landing and it was just ok. Then there was a quick stop in the Superhero section but I can't remember the name. they had burgers/chicken strips and fries. It was better than the place in Suess Landing but not by much.

We had Fried Chicken from the place near Jaws. It was GREAT. The chef/cook came out when we were ordering to tell me it was no longer chicken strips, but fresh battered fried chicken! I mentioned we preferred white meat and they gave us all white meat at no extra charge. It was delicious! I think we got a breast and a wing per order, and we were able to share. (This was Oct 12 or 13.)

There's a really good sandwich place (fresh-made to order) somewhere in the Cartoon section of IOA. I think it's near Betty Boop. There's also a pizza place across from the Hulk ride that's good, too. Monster's Cafe is good, as is Mel's Drive-In in USO.
