| OMG. . . As some of you know, we will be staying at the Hard Rock during our trip coming up at the end of the month. Well, my DBiL's sister is there right now, and $20 and four kid's t-shirts were stolen out of her room! They were immediately upgraded to a concierge room and given a large credit, and I am sure that the hotel management has figured out who did it and that person is gone, but still - wow! |

| Sorry that happened. Unfortunately, Crime doesn't stop happening even on vacation, this is a good reminder to myself to use hotel safes, and to keep things out of sight as much as I can when I travel. I hope the person is caught or gone and that your family's trip goes smoother. Glad they were given the upgrades and credits but doesn't necessarily make up for the sense of insecurity they must feel.

| Not the nicest thing to happen on vacation! Just goes to show that, unfortunately, we have to keep up our guard no matter where we are.

| The thing that gets me is that they stole her son's t-shirts! I mean, you can't put your CLOTHES in the safe! |

| I think I had a shirt stolen from me at our hotel in London once. I never did find it and I know I had it with me on the trip. The only other thing that could have happened would have been if it was picked up with the linens (it was white).....but I was pretty sure it was still in my suitcase. I never did mention it to management....but maybe I should have.

| That is horrible. I sure hope that the person, if it was a hotel employee, lost their job. DW and I ALWAYS lock our stuff up and use the safe for more valuable stuff.

| That's terrible. Those must have been cool t-shirts for someone to take clothes. When DS who was 12 at the time, accidently left his 20.00 in spending money on the bedside table at CR and it was stolen, they acted like we were lying and didn't do a thing about it. I felt bad for DS so I gave him another 20.00 and sent an email to guest relations with all the info including who we talked to at the resort and their bad reaction. I've never got a response. I'm glad the Hard Rock treated them well and did something about it.

| So sorry that happened to them. Stealing tee shirts? Wow! It's not something you would think gets stolen. Cash, electronics, jewlery yes. How can you lock up clothing? Unless you keep your clothing in a locked suitcase. It's hard to imagine a housekeeper would risk her job over a few shirts & $20.00! Glad that the hotel made ammends. And thanks for posting. I know I sometimes leave things out I shouldn't, like my laptop.
