We are heading to Disney on December 19-26. DH and both of my DSes are huge Harry Potter fans, so we've decided to spend a day at US. I'm looking into tickets via Undercover Tourist, and I'm trying to figure out if we need a 1-Day Base Ticket or a 1-Day Park-to-Park ticket.
Will HP occupy our entire day (there will be 8 people in our group)? Or will we have time to park hop?
Thanks!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is one section of the Islands of Adventure theme park. HP would not take a full day, but the entire park would probably take a full day if you want to do everything. Universal Studios is a separate park. If you want to visit both theme parks you would need the park to park ticket. I personally wouldn't try to do both parks in one day, especially the week after Christmas.

Perfect! That's just what I needed to know.

I agree. Stick to IOA for your one day. And DO make sure to get there well before park opening time (sometimes they open the doors early). You can get the most done while people are still waking up and having breakfast....
Depends, I was not able to do both parks in one day and didn't even try. There is a lot of ground to cover however I do NOT ride rollercoasters so I thought I'd be able to speed through Islands of Adventures. Not so, still took me most of the day to ride the NON rollercoaster rides. If you LIKE rollercoasters, definitely stick with Islands of Adventures all day.
