We are planning a trip for next April and I'm starting to work on general plans for which days we may visit different parks. We are planning a day at IoA for WWOHP, but don't know what is the best day to tour. We will be arriving on a Saturday, and I thought about going to IoA first and then spending the rest of the time in Disney, but was thinking a weekday may be better to visit IoA. What do you think?
Going in April means huge Spring Break crowds so it is going to be packed no matter when you go, but going to the parks on weekdays is always better than weekends. Locals all come out on the weekends and it just adds to the already swollen crowds.

we just did that 2 weeks ago IOA/Universal 1st then Disney. We did those 2 parks on sat/sunday and it was very crowded. I will offer up 2 pieces of advice to speed throught he line especially in WWOHP. Either get the Express Pass (extra $$ but can help you out through some of lines) or do single rider. we were a party of 8 and 5 of family members waited in the standby line for the one Harry Potter ride thats inside and feels like you are riding on a broom w/ harry( the name is escaping me at the moment)They wanted to sit together and wound up waiting a good hour. Those of us that stayed behind decided as we were waiting for them, that we wanted to do it. so we did the single rider line and we walked on and did the ride in about 10 mins. Try the Butterbeer the frozen one is great.

I knew going in that April isn't the best, but my DH travels a lot (3 months gone, 2 back) and I had to shoot for when we think he will be in the country. That may change. We are also going for my birthday. I figured we better plan for a weekday, just not sure which one.

Thanks for the info on single rider. That might work okay for us and might not. We will be going with me, DH, DD12, DD's friend 12 and DS9. I know me, DH and the girls will want to ride Forbidden Journey (I think that's the one, still learning WWOHP) but not sure on my DS. I'm also thinking the girls will want to go together, but if we can go twice instead maybe they won't mind. We are really going mostly for WWOHP and planning a full day, so I think we will be able to get through everything we want, and Butterbeer is on the list of must do's.
