| Hi all. I'm new to the whole passporter's thing, but on the recommendation of many I sprung for a deluxe Passporter's for our upcoming first trip to Disney with kids. I figured it would be handy to take the pockets out and that in the future I could just purchase refills. But so far, the furthest my book has traveled is from my desk to my nightstand, and I have to say that the rings don't seem to be closing that well. It really wouldn't be a big deal b/c it's still very usable, but am I kidding myself thinking I'll be able to use this for more than one year. It reminded me of the three ring binders that wouldn't line up right or close by the end of the year (although those took a lot more abuse). How much use do you all get out a deluxe binder? Is there something wrong with mine? Thanks in advance. Amy |

| and !Do you open it by puling on the rings or by using the levers? I rarely open the rings on mine, so it hasn't had a lot of wear, yet. Enjoy!

| I got mine last year after having the regular addition for 3 months and wearing out the elastic band. DH lovingly calls it "the Bible" because when I am planning it goes everywhere with me. Last year it was so full I couldn't fit anything else in it. There is a tiny gap in the rings but nothing that causes a problem. I love my deluxe passporter and if we keep going every year, I don't know how long its going to last but it is well worth it for the space I get for everything!

| Amy, your binder should definitely be holding up better than that. Give us a call at the office during regular business hours (Eastern), and we'll fix things up for you - 877-929-3273. Oh, and welcome to the message boards!

| I've only managed to kill one deluxe binder - with an exploding can of WD-40 several years ago. It was still useable after that I suppose, just really greasy. Not something you'd want to be carrying around after that. The one I've had since has been through 6 trips I think and I tote it everywhere. It's in my backpack a lot of the time since I spend a lot of time reading and planning while waiting for DS while he's in class at the Y (parents are not supposed to hover and watch during class time ).

| I've had mine since 2003! I've had mine for five years now. I love it. I've taken it on every trip and it's still in great shape. When I started reading this thread, I just knew a Marx would jump in at some point and offer to help you out. It's that customer service and integrity that caused me to buy a second Passporter Deluxe for my cruise "homework." |

| Wow. Thanks for all the replies and info!! Dave: Thank you for the offer to call the store. I was hesitant to call b/c its still so usable and I hate waste...but I hope that I'll be one of these people writing that I've toted it around for years, so I will take you up on the offer! And by the way, these message boards are great. Of course, the last thing my husband is going to want is for me to spend more time on another Disney message board, but I'll have to explore these for a couple of weeks at least! Thanks again to all.
