2007 version of the Passporter

I was all set to order the Deluxe 2008 Passporter and found out they are out of stock . We're going this summer so I don't want to wait for the 2009 version. I noticed I could still order the 2007 version with a good discount though. How different is the 2007 version from the 2008 version? It looks like I can still get the 2008 version at Amazon. Is it worth the extra money (looks like it would be about $20) to get the 2008 version from Amazon (with no discounts)? Or does the 2007 version have most of the same information and therefore be "good enough".

Thanks!

There are of course differences - we make thousands of individual changes. Many of those are specifics, like ticket, lodging, and menu prices, some of which change throughout the year anyway. However, the big sweep of things - attraction, resort, and restaurant descriptions, maps, etc. the 2007 is still a very accurate book. There have been just a few new attractions and restaurants, and with the exception of those few Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas that have opened so far, next to nothing has changed at the resorts.

So, as long as folks understand that some things are going to be different and any truly critical information should be double-checked, we feel folks will do just fine with the 2007. Otherwise, we wouldn't offer it for sale. But hey, if you can get the 2008 elsewhere, that's quite cool with us, too!

I recently purchased the electronic version of the 2008 WDW Passporter.

I had purchased the spiral bound version in 2006 which was and still is a fantastic planning tool. The reason I purchased the electronic version is because I can select the pages I want to print off and use along with my 2006 version to take on the plane with me as well as a good reference tool to see how much has changed in 2 years.

Will be purchasing the Deluxe 2009 version very soon.

What can I say I'm addicted to the Passporter!

Thanks Dave and Nikki! I ended up deciding to order the 2007 version as well as the 2008 electronic version, which combined were still less expensive than ordering the 2008 version elsewhere. I've already started looking through the electronic version, but I can't wait until the book itself arrives, so I can do some reading not at my computer.

Thanks again!!
